Food truck hire in Forstal

How our food truck hire works in Forstal

We cook inside our truck or trailer, so there’s no need for kitchen space at the venue. What we do need is level ground, a way in and the venue’s agreement. At staff summer parties and client events and product launches, we will put together a menu of vegan tacos, burritos and tacos from the hatch for your guests.

For a rural spot like Forstal, food truck hire needs a little planning: gate widths, soft ground and the route from the road all matter. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements before the day. We plan the timings around your day, so service starts when you want it.

Comparing your options

A marquee kitchen with plated service needs more space, more staff and more time. A food truck arrives as a kitchen and serves from the hatch, needing level ground, access and the venue’s permission. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What you get with us

  • Service planned around your numbers
  • A truck or trailer that comes to you
  • A quote that sets out what’s included
  • Access, space and power checked in advance

How the day works

On the day, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. Service starts at the time we have agreed, so everything runs to your schedule. December events in Forstal lose the light at about 3:50pm, so ask the venue about outdoor lighting where we’ll park. In late June, it stays light until about 9:15pm.

  1. Tell us the date, the location, rough numbers and any diets.
  2. We check availability and send a menu and a quote for hiring the truck or trailer.
  3. Where the truck or trailer will stand, the route in, and power and water are all agreed in advance.
  4. We arrive, open the hatch and cook to order for your guests.
  5. Once guests are fed, we clear our area and head off.

The closest is Aylesford station, roughly 1.2 miles away.

Is Forstal close to London?

About 29 miles from central London, and we cover it.

What do you need at the venue?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Is private hire the same as trading at a festival?

A private hire is booked and quoted for you, and we do not sell to the public. Organisers wanting us to trade at their event can see our festival page.

How many guests can you serve?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but our truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests. For anything outside that, ask us.

How much is a food truck for an event?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the length of service and the location. Send us the details for a quote.

Can you cater in a back garden?

Yes, if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level, firm ground. Tell us about the drive, gates and any slopes.

Can you cater for special diets?

There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.

Working with your venue

Events in public spaces, like parks, typically need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

If you are booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

  • Any parking or loading permission needed for street locations
  • Space in front of the hatch for guests to queue
