Food truck hire in Fratton, from our truck or trailer

The truck or trailer is a working kitchen on wheels, so your venue does not need a kitchen. What we do need is level ground, a way in and the venue’s agreement. For leaving dos and retirements and winter staff parties, we will put together a menu of vegan tacos, tacos from the hatch and burrito bowls and more.

Around Fratton, a hired food truck can serve in a garden, a field or a hall car park. Narrow roads and soft ground are fine if we know about them. Guests are served from our food truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Your questions about food truck hire in Fratton

Which station should guests use for Fratton?

Guests can use Fratton station, which is right in Fratton.

Could you serve our guests after a service at St Mary's Church?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you offer a bar with the truck?

We bring bar staff with the drinks bar and alcohol-free choices. We’ll talk through licensing first.

How many guests can you serve?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. For anything outside that, ask us.

Can we hire the truck for our wedding?

Wedding food from a truck feels relaxed and sociable, especially in the evening. We’ll check access and timings with your venue.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, made with corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies and we will talk it through.

Who clears up?

We clear our own area when service is finished. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

How the day works

Once service is over, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. Planning a private evening event in Fratton? Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May and 9:20pm in late June. Once it’s dark, some lighting near the hatch makes ordering easier.

  1. Share your plans for the event.
  2. We suggest fillings and dishes for every diet.

What food truck hire costs

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • How long we’re needed on site
  • What’s on the menu
  • How many guests we are serving

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you choose what goes in.

Details that help

To check availability and price, we need:

  • What power and water the site has
  • Your menu ideas
  • The date and time of the event
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground

Not sure what you need yet? No problem: give us the basics about your event, and we’ll make suggestions. When you’re ready, send a quick message through our quote form.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Working with your venue

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

Comparing your options

Hiring a food truck is different from finding one at a festival. At a festival we trade to the public; when you hire us, we serve only your guests, on your timings. Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.
