Food truck hire near Fulwell

Food truck hire in Fulwell, served fresh

We serve when you want us to: a lunchtime window, an evening service or a longer slot through a party. Let us know your running order. At leaving dos and retirements and company away days, we can serve loaded nachos, vegan tacos and tacos from the hatch and more.

Hiring a food truck in Fulwell starts with where it can park. A courtyard, forecourt or drive can work, with permission, and some streets may need a parking suspension from the council. The truck becomes the place guests gather, and the hatch draws people over.

We can help if you’re planning any of the following:

  • Christenings and family parties
  • Weddings
  • Milestone birthdays
  • Back-garden parties

A food truck in Carlisle Park would need the park owner’s agreement, so check that first.

Fulwell questions

Could your truck or trailer park at our home in Fulwell?

It depends on the space: a drive, a courtyard or a parking bay suspended by the council can all work. Guests order at the hatch, so we also need room for a queue, and all of Greater London is inside the ULEZ.

We are having a ceremony at St Michael's: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

What if the weather’s bad?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

How soon do we need to book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it’s short notice, it is worth asking.

Is the food made fresh?

We slow-cook fillings ahead, then finish them and keep them hot at your event. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Is the food very hot?

We can keep it mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

Are plates and napkins included?

Please ask us. Let us know what you already have, and we’ll set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will talk licensing through with you.

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Fulwell? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Give us the details and we’ll suggest a plan.

How the day works

Serving is quick: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. Afterwards we clear our area. Late-September events in Fulwell see sunset at about 7:05pm, so evening service from the truck may run past dusk. A late-May event keeps its light until roughly 8:55pm.

  1. First come the basics: date, location, numbers and diets.
  2. We check availability and send a menu and a quote for hiring the truck or trailer.
  3. Before the day, we agree the spot, the way in, power and water.
  4. On the day we drive in, set up and serve to order from the hatch.
  5. When service ends, we pack up and leave the spot clear.

Getting ready for the day

  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Give us your final numbers and diets

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

How we price food truck hire

We will give you a clear quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • Serving staff
  • The menu you choose
  • Timings and hours
  • Parking and the route in

Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so share your ideas with us. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest a menu.

Details that help

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:

  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • What power and water the site has
  • The date and time of the event
  • Your menu ideas

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, fill in our quote form.

Before you choose a spot

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space when you get in touch. Generally, we look for:

  • A place for guests to eat close to the hatch
  • Enough width and height on the route in
  • A clear area for a queue at the hatch

Fulwell is in London, inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, which covers all of Greater London, and parking can be tight: tell us about parking bays, permits, a driveway or whether a parking suspension is needed.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.
