Food truck hire in Graffham

Food truck hire in Graffham, served fresh

When you hire our food truck, it serves your guests and nobody else. Unlike a stall at a festival or market, it’s a private hire, so the menu and timings are set around your event. It suits engagements and anniversaries and end-of-year celebrations, with vegan tacos, burrito bowls and burritos.

Somewhere as small as Graffham, food truck hire can mean a garden, a field or a barn. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives. Soft ground after rain is worth mentioning too. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Graffham questions

Is Graffham close to London?

It’s about 46 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Do you come out to small places like Graffham?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

What about power on site?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we’ll park.

Do you cater for dietary needs?

There are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.

What happens if it rains?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, like a marquee or gazebo.

How long do you serve for?

It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance so everything fits your schedule.

Is the food made fresh?

Food is cooked to order in our food truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

What guest numbers do you cater for?

That depends on your timings and the event. As a guide, it’s around 50 to 400 guests, so tell us your numbers.

Events we cater in Graffham

Mixed diets are easy to plan, since gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan choices come from the same hatch.

We cater all kinds of occasions in Graffham and nearby. Popular bookings include:

  • Retirement parties
  • Launch events
  • Private parties in fields and grounds
  • Milestone birthdays

Nearby historic houses include Cowdray House (3.5 miles north-west) and Bignor Roman Villa (4.1 miles south-east). Historic houses and estates normally have firm rules on vehicles, so ask where a hired food truck could park before booking.

Questions to ask before you book

  • Who provides plates and napkins
  • Allergen information for each dish
  • Payment terms and deposit
  • Travel and parking costs

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Food truck hire or something else?

Burger and pizza vans are familiar. Tacos and burritos from a truck feel different. There is no one-size-fits-all price for food truck hire. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Your quote sets it all out.

What you get with us

  • A menu agreed with you
  • Book food, drinks or both
  • A truck or trailer that comes to you
  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch

Working with your venue

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

If you are organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

Can I do a taco night myself?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Space, access and the venue

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We look for:

  • Room for guests to gather at the hatch
  • Seating or standing room near the truck
  • Agreement from the venue to bring in a catering vehicle

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think before you book.

What food truck hire costs

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Food, drinks or both
  • Whether you need disposables
  • The number of people
  • How many staff you need

Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

What we need to know

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • The date and time of the event

Not sure what you need yet? That is fine: give us the basics about your event, and we’ll make suggestions. To start, use our quote form.

How the day works

Expect a friendly, organised team. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, get the serving area ready, and serve without fuss. A hired food truck at a summer event in Graffham can serve in daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer, and by late September sunset is about 7:05pm. In December it is dark by about 4:00pm, so the queue by the hatch needs lighting.

  1. Check our availability for your date.
  2. You get a menu for the hatch and a quote.
  3. The spot and the way in are agreed in advance.
  4. We drive in, open the hatch and serve your guests.
  5. After service, we close up and leave the spot clear.

Before we arrive

  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park

How to get a price

We quote for each event separately, so the price fits what you actually want. For a quote, tell us about it on our contact page.
