Food truck hire in Gunnersbury, served fresh

Food truck hire means our truck or trailer is booked for your guests only. Unlike a stall at a festival or market, it is a private hire, so the menu and timings are set around your event. For parties in venue grounds and end-of-year parties, we can serve quesadillas, burritos and fresh salsas and guacamole and more.

Hiring a food truck in Gunnersbury starts with where it can park. A drive, a courtyard or a car park can all work, with permission, and some streets may need a parking suspension from the council. All of Greater London is inside the ULEZ. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our truck or trailer.

How the day works

Here’s how the day normally runs: we park up and get ready, we open the hatch when you are ready, and your guests are served fresh until service ends. A Christmas party in Gunnersbury with a hired food truck will be in the dark from about 3:55pm, so ask the venue about outdoor lighting where we’ll park. In late June, it stays light until about 9:20pm.

  1. Check our availability for your date.
  2. You get a menu for the hatch and a quote.
  3. We confirm the parking spot and the route in.
  4. We drive in, open the hatch and serve your guests.
  5. We pack down and drive away when service ends.

How to prepare

  • Tell us what power and water the site has
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Let us know the timings for the day

Common questions in Gunnersbury

Which station should guests use for Gunnersbury?

Gunnersbury station, in Gunnersbury itself.

Is parking a problem for events in Gunnersbury?

That depends on the street. A drive, a courtyard or a bay suspended by the council can all work, so tell us what’s outside your venue. The ULEZ covers all of Greater London.

Where can the truck park?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding, access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s permission. Power and water are confirmed with each booking.

What if the weather’s bad?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, like a marquee or gazebo.

Is the truck suitable for a large group?

It depends on the event and how long service runs. As a guide, it’s around 50 to 400 guests, so tell us your numbers.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we do. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. For alcohol, we’ll go through the licensing with you and your venue.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect, and we’ll keep their options separate.

How much does food truck hire cost?

We do not publish set prices, because each hire is different. Send your details and you’ll get a quote. Our food truck hire guide explains what affects the cost.

Working with your venue

Events in public spaces, like parks, usually need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Throwing a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we will tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

Questions to ask before you book

  • The caterer’s food hygiene rating
  • Who provides plates and napkins
  • When payment is due
  • What the caterer needs from your venue

Choosing a Mexican caterer

What we need at the venue

We will agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Space in front of the hatch for guests to queue
  • Any parking or loading permission needed for street locations
  • The landowner’s go-ahead for the truck or trailer

In Gunnersbury, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.
