Food truck hire for Ockham events
Can I do a taco night myself?
You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.
Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.
Food truck hire for your event in Ockham
Food truck hire suits weddings, milestone birthdays and staff events. On the menu are vegan tacos, burrito bowls and fresh salsas and guacamole, and it is a good fit for leaving dos and retirements and private outdoor parties.
For a rural spot like Ockham, food truck hire needs a little planning: gate widths, soft ground and the route from the road all matter. We confirm power and water arrangements with you. Every guest is catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included, and we give allergen information for every dish.
Planners, venues and businesses
Hosting a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we will let you know if it is a good fit.
If you are organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

Some venues in protected landscapes have rules on vehicles, so check with yours.

Common questions in Ockham
How far is Ockham from London?
Roughly 21 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.
Could we book your food truck for a private event in Ockham?
Yes, depending on the date. For a private or work event in a village or hamlet, the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.
Can you come to a private house?
Yes, as long as there is access and a level, firm spot. Send us a picture of the access and the space.
Can we hire a bar too?
The drinks bar comes with bar staff. Alcohol needs the right licence, which we’ll check with you.
What food and drinks do you offer?
Mexican street food: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar.
Do you need electricity?
That depends on the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Tell us what’s available at your venue.
What areas do you cover?
London and South East England: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire.
Do you do a taco bar?
Yes, a taco bar is one of our options. Let us know your numbers and space and we’ll suggest the best set-up.
Is food truck hire right for your event?
Hiring a food truck is different from finding one at a festival. At a festival we trade to the public; when you hire us, we serve only your guests, on your timings. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. We quote for each event individually.
Why us?
- Menus chosen with you
- A quote that sets out what’s included
- Allergen information for everything we serve
- Book food, drinks or both
How the day works
On the day, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. Service starts at the time we have agreed, planned around your event. Evening events in Ockham stay light until about 9:20pm at midsummer. Once it’s dark, some lighting near the hatch makes ordering easier.
- Tell us the date, the location, rough numbers and any diets.
- We suggest a menu for the hatch and quote for it.
- Before the day, we agree the spot, the way in, power and water.
- We arrive, open the hatch and cook to order for your guests.
- After service, we close the hatch, pack down and drive away.
How to prepare
- Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
- Tell us what power and water the site has
- Name one person we can ask on the day
Ask for a quote
It’s easy to get a price: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will come back with a clear quote and a suggested menu.
Planning help
Space, access and the venue
We will agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:
- A way in wide and high enough for the vehicle
- A place for guests to eat close to the hatch
- Distance from houses and windows
If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

Diets, allergies and planning
We take diets and allergies seriously. Here’s how you can help:
- Check early that your venue allows food trucks

- Ask guests about dietary needs when they reply
- Let us know who is coeliac
We arrive in the agreed window and park where we have arranged. Someone on site to meet us makes it smoother.

How we price food truck hire
We quote for your event, which reflects:
- The length of service
- Parking and the route in
- What’s on the menu
- Whether you add a drinks bar or food
What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so share your ideas with us. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest a menu.
