Food truck hire in Paddington Green, from our food truck or trailer

The truck or trailer is a working kitchen on wheels, so your venue does not need a kitchen. What we do need is level ground, a way in and the venue’s agreement, with power and water confirmed per booking. For private outdoor parties and leaving parties, we will put together a menu of vegan tacos, fresh salsas and guacamole and tacos from the hatch for your guests.

In Paddington Green, a yard, forecourt or car park can suit a hired food truck. We need a level spot and room for a queue at the hatch. Timings are planned around your event, so service starts when you want it.

Comparing your options

Most guests have seen a burger van. A Mexican food truck offers something less expected while staying easy to eat. Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so tell us what you have in mind. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

Why book with us

  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • Served fresh from our food truck or trailer
  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Menus for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests

How it works

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. At midsummer, it stays light in Paddington Green until about 9:20pm, while late September brings sunset forward to around 7:05pm. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue at the hatch.

  1. Tell us what the event is and who’s coming.
  2. We suggest fillings and dishes for every diet.
  3. We check power, water and timings with the venue.
  4. Service runs at the times you choose.
  5. Once service ends, we tidy up and go.

Before we arrive

  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

Planning help

Dietary needs and planning tips

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Check parking and loading rules for street locations
  • Put anyone with a severe allergy in touch with us
  • Measure gates and look for low branches on the way in
  • Think about cover if the weather turns

We keep allergen information for every dish at the hatch.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can join the truck, with licensing checked with you.

Who books food truck hire in Paddington Green?

It is a private hire, so the queue is your guests only and the menu suits them.

Whatever you are celebrating in Paddington Green, our food truck or trailer can be the centre of it. We can cater:

  • Back-garden parties
  • Leaving dos and retirements
  • Engagement parties
  • Staff summer parties

If there is no space for the truck at home, a hall or club near Paddington Green with a car park could host your event.

Before you book anyone

  • When payment is due
  • The venue requirements
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • Where to see their hygiene rating

Questions to ask before you book

Before you choose a spot

If a space isn’t suitable, we’ll tell you, and help find another spot. The main points are:

  • Some space between the truck and nearby homes
  • Power and water details confirmed in advance
  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a food truck

As a London location, Paddington Green is inside the ULEZ, and parking and loading take planning: tell us about parking bays, permits, a driveway or whether a parking suspension is needed.

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before booking.

Your questions about food truck hire in Paddington Green

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Kensington Gardens?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

What about parking in Paddington Green?

That depends on the street. A drive, a courtyard or a bay suspended by the council can all work, so tell us what’s outside your venue. The ULEZ covers all of Greater London.

Do you cover Paddington Green?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, and Paddington Green is within our area. To check your date, send us your details through our quote form.

What about power on site?

Tell us what the site has, for example a supply from the venue, and we will confirm what we need with your quote.

How spicy is the food?

That is your choice: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately.

How much is food truck hire?

We do not publish set prices, because each hire is different. Tell us your plans and we’ll quote for your event. See the Mexican catering cost guide for background.

What space does the truck need?

Send us the address and a description of the spot, and we will check the access. Our guide to space and power has more.

Do you sell to the public at private events?

Private hire means we serve only your guests, with a menu and timings you agree with us. At festivals and markets we trade to the public; see our street food catering page.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Prices and what affects them

Your quote will be clear. The main things that affect it are:

  • What the venue already provides
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Your choice of food and drinks

Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.
