Food truck hire for Poverest events

Food truck hire in Poverest, served fresh

The truck or trailer is a working kitchen on wheels, so your venue doesn’t need a kitchen. We need a level spot, safe access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed per booking. On the menu are burritos, burrito bowls and vegan tacos, and it suits engagements and anniversaries and wedding receptions.

For a private or work event in Poverest, our food truck or trailer parks up and guests order at the hatch. Tell us about the route in, height barriers and narrow entrances. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

Why choose food truck hire in Poverest?

Hog roasts are popular with meat eaters, but tacos and bowls make vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests easier to feed. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

Why book with us

  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar
  • Fast service, even with a queue
  • Menus chosen with you
  • Allergen information for everything we serve

How it works

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we’ll help you choose a spot with room for a queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. A Christmas party in Poverest with a hired food truck will be in the dark from about 3:55pm, so choose a well-lit spot for the truck or trailer. At midsummer, sunset is around 9:20pm.

  1. First come the basics: date, location, numbers and diets.
  2. You get a hatch menu and a quote for the hire.
  3. Before the day, we agree the spot, the way in, power and water.
  4. Your guests order at the hatch and we serve hot food at the agreed times.
  5. When service ends, we pack up and leave the spot clear.

Preparing for the day

  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve

Planning help

Prices and what affects them

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Serving staff
  • What’s on the menu

Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

What we need to know

Good planning starts with a few facts. Try to include:

  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • What power and water the site has

Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Your questions about food truck hire in Poverest

Could you serve our guests after a service at St Andrew's?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Tell us where the reception will be.

Is parking a problem for events in Poverest?

That depends on the street. A drive, a courtyard or a bay suspended by the council can all work, so tell us what’s outside your venue. The ULEZ covers all of Greater London.

Can we hire a bar too?

You can add our drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas. We’ll talk licensing through with you.

What food and drinks do you offer?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. A drinks bar is available too.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes, on request. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we’ll include them in the plan.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Let us know numbers and ages, and we will plan the menu with them in mind.

Can you run a bar?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we’ll check the licensing with you.

How soon do we need to book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it is soon.

Popular choices

Burrito bowls

Bowls suit anyone skipping tortillas, and they’re easy to adapt.

Quesadillas

Quesadillas are a simple choice for children.

Before you choose a spot

Every venue is different, so we will ask about yours when you get in touch. Generally, we look for:

  • Power and water, confirmed with each booking
  • Gate widths, overhead branches and soft ground checked in advance
  • Firm, level ground or hardstanding where the truck or trailer can park

In Poverest, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before booking.
