Food truck hire near Puddledock

Food truck hire in Puddledock, served fresh

Our drinks bar can be hired with the truck with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas. We can add a taco-bar station next to the truck. For end-of-year parties and private outdoor parties, we can serve burrito bowls, quesadillas and burritos and more.

In a London neighbourhood like Puddledock, the first question for food truck hire is parking. A drive, a courtyard or a car park can all work, with permission, and a parking suspension may be needed on some streets. Like all of Greater London, Puddledock is inside the ULEZ. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

What happens on the day

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. Late-September events in Puddledock see sunset at about 7:05pm, so a later service will need some lighting. In late May, daylight lasts until about 8:50pm.

  1. Tell us what the event is and who’s coming.
  2. We suggest fillings and dishes for every diet.
  3. Power, water and timings are agreed with you or the venue.
  4. The truck serves at the agreed times.
  5. When everyone is fed, we clear our area.

For planners, venues and organisers

Organising a club, school or community event in Puddledock? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Tell us about the event and we will suggest a menu.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will talk you through the process. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Food truck hire or something else?

Hiring a food truck is different from finding one at a festival. At public events, anyone can buy; a private hire means your guests, your menu and your timings. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Why book with us

  • Every guest catered for, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan included
  • A menu built around your guests
  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar
  • We cover Puddledock and the whole of Greater London

Read our pricing and our guide to catering costs.

Planning for every diet

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Measure gates and look for low branches on the way in
  • Send allergy details in writing
  • Check parking and loading rules for street locations
  • Let us know who is coeliac

We keep allergen information for every dish at the hatch.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can be added to the booking.

Planning the serving area

Before the day, we will agree where we park and serve. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Some space between the truck and nearby homes
  • Power and water, confirmed with each booking
  • Any parking or loading permission needed for street locations

As a London location, Puddledock is inside the ULEZ, and parking and loading take planning: tell us about parking bays, permits, a driveway or whether a parking suspension is needed.

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

Questions from Puddledock

Do you come to events in the Kent Downs National Landscape?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and catering, so check with yours. We’ll follow the site rules.

Is parking a problem for events in Puddledock?

That depends on the street. A drive, a courtyard or a bay suspended by the council can all work, so tell us what’s outside your venue. The ULEZ covers all of Greater London.

Do you need electricity?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

Can you do gluten-free food?

We can, using corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we plan gluten-free dishes carefully and give allergen information.

Do you offer a bar with the truck?

We bring bar staff with the drinks bar and alcohol-free choices. We will talk through licensing first.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

Our truck and trailer service usually suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Tell us your numbers.

Can you come to a private house?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer can’t reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a photo and we will talk it through.

How is the food prepared?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.
