Food truck hire in Westdean, served fresh

Food truck hire means our food truck or trailer is booked for your guests only. Unlike a stall at a festival or market, it is a private hire, so the menu and timings are set around your event. It works well for wedding receptions and leaving dos and retirements, serving vegan tacos, burrito bowls and tacos from the hatch.

For a rural spot like Westdean, food truck hire needs a little planning: the gate, the ground and the distance from the lane. We confirm power and water arrangements with you. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

Occasions we cater for in Westdean

Nothing is needed from a venue kitchen, so gardens, fields and grounds all become options with the venue’s agreement.

  • Engagements and anniversaries
  • Christenings and family parties
  • Client hospitality
  • Summer parties at home

Westdean is about 51 miles from central London, close enough for a London team’s away day.

  • When payment is due

Our caterer checklist

DIY taco night or a caterer?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Planners, venues and businesses

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep everyone informed on the day.

Organising a club, school or community event in Westdean? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Tell us about the event and we will suggest a menu.

Is food truck hire right for your event?

A DIY barbecue keeps a host at the grill. Hire the truck and the cooking is ours so you can join in. Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

What you get with us

  • Allergen information for every dish
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both

Tacos from the hatch

Tacos are quick to serve and easy to eat standing up.

Westdean: your questions answered

Could you serve our guests after a service at The Parish Church of All Saints?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Do you come to events in the South Downs National Park?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and catering, so check with yours. We will follow the site rules.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own. For alcohol, we will check the licensing with you and your venue.

Where do you cater?

We cater across London and the South East, East Sussex included. Find your area.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from.

What do you need at the venue?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding, access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s permission. We confirm power and water when you book.

How is the food prepared?

We slow-cook fillings ahead, then finish them and keep them hot at your event. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Do you need power and water?

Let us know what’s available on site, for instance a supply from the venue, and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Prices and what affects them

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • What’s on the menu
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Timings and hours

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you choose what goes in.

What we need to know

To speed things up, tell us:

  • A picture of where we’d park
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Your date and when you want service to start

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. Contact us for a quote: just drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Space, access and the venue

Everything is served from our truck or trailer, so the spot needs a little planning. These are the things we check:

  • Space in front of the hatch for guests to queue
  • Firm, level ground or hardstanding where the truck or trailer can park
  • A parking suspension, where a street spot is needed

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.
