Mexican catering for your event in Highstreet

Taco catering in Highstreet is what we do best. Keep it simple or go further: tacos on their own, or tacos with burritos, nachos and quesadillas. Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can come from our drinks bar. It works well for school fairs and fundraisers and engagement and anniversary parties, serving burritos, loaded nachos and burrito bowls.

In a small place like Highstreet, events are normally in a garden, a field or a nearby hall. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and soft ground after rain is worth mentioning. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

The process

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. Send us a photo of the space if you are unsure. Evenings in Highstreet stay light until about 9:15pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:00pm. For anything running past sunset, think about lights near the hatch.

  1. It begins with the basics: your date, venue, guest numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Preparing for the day

Planning the serving area

We’ll agree the spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Space for guests to queue
  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site

Highstreet questions

Will you travel to a small place like Highstreet?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking for the truck or trailer.

Is it possible to have you in Foxes Cross Bottom?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

Can you run a bar?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we’ll talk licensing through with you.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, using corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can explain how we prepare their food.

How much does Mexican catering cost?

We quote for each event, depending on numbers, menu, venue and timings. Contact us for a quote.

How many guests can you serve?

Our truck and trailer service usually suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Send us your numbers and we will advise.

Are plates and napkins included?

Ask us when you enquire. Tell us what your venue provides, and we’ll confirm what’s included with your quote.

Who clears up?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Prices and what affects them

Contact us for a quote, and the price is based on:

  • What the venue already provides
  • Timings and hours
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Staff for serving and the bar

There is no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican catering. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

Getting an accurate quote

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • The venue or postcode
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • What you’d like on the menu

Each quote is tailored to your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.

Perfect for your event in Highstreet

There’s no kitchen needed at the venue, so gardens, fields and outdoor venues are all possible.

A truck or trailer suits almost any gathering. In Highstreet, you could book us for events such as:

  • Markets and community events
  • Milestone birthdays
  • Anniversaries and engagements
  • Leaving dos and retirement parties

A gathering in Foxes Cross Bottom would need the park owner’s say-so for any catering vehicle, and that is worth sorting out early.

Comparing caterers

  • How each diet is kept separate
  • The caterer’s food hygiene rating
  • Plates and napkins, or nothing at all
  • Space, access, power and water needs
