How our Mexican catering works in Oxley's Green

Looking for taco catering in Oxley's Green? A build-your-own taco bar is one of the most sociable ways to feed a crowd. Everyone builds their own tacos from what’s laid out, so each plate is exactly how they like it. On the menu are a build-your-own taco bar, loaded nachos and burrito bowls, which works well for company summer parties and birthday parties.

Somewhere as small as Oxley's Green, a garden or field is often the venue. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives and we will plan for them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

We will be honest if a space won’t work. The main points are:

  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar
  • A route in that’s wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance
  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

The process

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our truck or trailer, and serve without fuss. A December event in Oxley's Green will be in the dark from about 3:55pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. At midsummer, the light holds until around 9:15pm.

  1. First, send us your date, venue, numbers and any diets we should know about.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. Before the day, we agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
  5. Once everyone has eaten, we tidy our serving area and head off.

How to prepare

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

How to compare caterers

Prices and what affects them

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Food, drinks or both
  • What’s on the menu
  • What the venue already provides

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

What to tell us

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:

  • The date and time of the event
  • The venue or postcode
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • A picture of where we’d park

Not sure what you need yet? That’s fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we will make suggestions. To start, send a quick message through our quote form.

Working with your venue

Throwing a party at home? Send us a photo of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we will let you know if it’s a good fit.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

Is Mexican catering right for your event?

A cold buffet is simple but tends to sit out for hours. Tacos and burritos are made to order and served hot. Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

Why us?

  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • Access, space and power checked in advance
  • Quoted for your event

Dietary needs and planning tips

With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:

  • Count children separately
  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply
  • Ensure the menu has a vegan option
  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac

We work around your timings, and adapt if they move.

Burrito bowls are a good choice for anyone avoiding tortillas, and they’re easy to adapt for different diets.

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.
