Mexican catering in Rock-a-Nore, served fresh

Looking for taco catering in Rock-a-Nore? Serving from a truck or trailer keeps the mood easy-going. Guests come up to the hatch, chat while they wait and take something hot back to their seats, which suits informal events. It suits weddings and evening receptions and garden get-togethers, serving loaded nachos, a build-your-own taco bar and tacos.

In a smaller place like Rock-a-Nore, your own garden, drive or a local hall is often the simplest option: no venue to hire and no cooking for you. Let us know about the route to the house. You’ll know what’s included before you book: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

What happens on the day

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. Evenings in Rock-a-Nore stay light until about 9:15pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:00pm. For anything running past sunset, think about lights near the hatch.

  1. You tell us the date, the venue, rough guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We suggest a sample menu and send a quote for your event.
  3. Before the day, we agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. On the day we arrive, set up and serve hot food from our food truck or trailer.
  5. When service ends, we pack down and clear our area.

Planning help

Is Mexican catering right for your event?

Next to a hog roast or a barbecue, Mexican street food is easier for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests, because fillings and toppings are kept separate. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

Why book with us

  • Menus chosen with you
  • Quoted for your event
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch

See how we price or the cost guide.

Planning for every diet

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Ensure the menu has a vegan option
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply
  • Flag anyone with coeliac disease

If timings change on the day, tell us and we’ll adjust.

A tray of loaded nachos works well to start.

Space, access and the venue

We will agree the spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar
  • Some distance from houses and neighbours
  • Space for guests to queue

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before booking.

Your questions about Mexican catering in Rock-a-Nore

How far is Rock-a-Nore from central London?

About 54 miles from central London.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Ebenezer Particular Baptist Chapel?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.

What is mobile Mexican catering?

We park our food truck or trailer at your venue and serve hot Mexican street food from it. You can also have a build-your-own taco bar.

What do you need at the venue?

Tell us about the venue and the way in, and we’ll check it works. We also need room for a queue.

What if it rains?

Rain does not stop service from the hatch. Plan a marquee, gazebo or indoor space for guests to eat in.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.
