Mexican catering near The Valley

Mexican catering in The Valley, from our food truck or trailer

Our truck and trailer service tends to suit around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case, so tell us your numbers. It suits summer garden parties and school fairs and fundraisers, with burritos, a build-your-own taco bar and quesadillas.

For a rural spot like The Valley, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements with you. You will know what’s included before you book: menu, timings and any add-ons.

About the menu

Build-your-own taco bar

The taco bar keeps things sociable, and guests with different diets can choose what suits them, with every dish labelled.

Quesadillas

Quesadillas are simple and comforting, and they go down well with children.

Before you choose a spot

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • A route in that is wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

Common questions in The Valley

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St Lawrence?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Is it possible to have you in Spuckles and Kennelling Woods?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but our truck and trailer service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests. For anything outside that, ask us.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from.

Do you give allergen information?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

What food and drinks do you offer?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings could include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.

Do you serve in the rain?

Rain doesn’t stop service from the hatch. Have somewhere covered ready for guests.

Who books Mexican catering in The Valley?

Guests enjoy building their own plate, and the taco bar gets them talking while they queue.

We can help if you’re planning any of the following:

  • Wedding breakfasts and evening food
  • Birthday parties
  • Garden get-togethers
  • Fundraisers and school events

When the service is at a church such as Church of St Lawrence, the food usually happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck.

Questions to ask before you book

  • Exactly what’s included in the price
  • Any travel, parking or access charges
  • VAT, if it applies
  • When payment is due

What affects the price in The Valley

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • What’s on the menu

There’s no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican catering. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.

What to tell us

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Expected numbers
  • The date and rough timings
  • Your menu ideas
  • The address or venue name

The quickest way to a quote is to fill in our quote form. Give us the details of your event, and we’ll put together a menu and price.

Catering for every guest

With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:

  • Send allergy details to us in writing
  • Include at least one vegan filling
  • Confirm the venue is happy to have a catering vehicle
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains

If you’ve chosen a taco bar, the fillings, salsas and toppings go out on a serving table, and guests help themselves while we keep it topped up.

Quesadillas go down well with children.

How it works

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. Guests come up to order when service opens. Planning an evening event in The Valley? Sunset is around 8:45pm in late May, 9:15pm at midsummer and 7:00pm in late September. For anything running past sunset, think about lights near the hatch.

  1. You tell us the date, the venue, rough guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
  3. Before the day, we agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
