Can I do a taco night myself?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Diets, allergies and planning

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:

  • Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance
  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply
  • Flag anyone with coeliac disease
  • Have a covered area ready in case of rain

Rain does not stop us serving from the truck or trailer, but guests will need somewhere covered to eat.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can be added from our drinks bar, with licensing checked with you.

World's End questions

Could you serve our guests after a service at St Peter's Church?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

What about parking in World's End?

That depends on the street. A drive, a courtyard or a bay suspended by the council can all work, so tell us what’s outside your venue. The ULEZ covers all of Greater London.

Can you cater for guests who avoid dairy?

We can. We offer dairy-free options, and we’ll tell you which dishes contain milk.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, made with corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can explain how we prepare their food.

Can you cater for children?

Yes. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

Yes. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from.

Do you cater in World's End?

We do. We serve at events in World's End and across Greater London. Send us your date to check availability.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms, served alongside the meat options.

Planning a food truck in World's End

World's End is about 1 mile west of Enfield, in Greater London. We bring Mexican catering to homes, gardens and venues in World's End. World's End is one of 764 places in Greater London we cover. Our nearest city page is London, about 10 miles away.

For a fête or sports day at a school such as Grange Park Primary School, hot food from a truck or trailer saves the volunteers from cooking. If you’re celebrating after a service at a church like St Peter's Church, a truck or trailer parked at a hall or garden close by can serve the meal.

Anywhere in N21, EN2 and N14, we can bring the truck or trailer to your guests, from busy streets to quiet lanes. Whether your event is on Viga Road, Maxim Road and Vera Avenue or a nearby road, we can bring Mexican catering there, given access. For events just outside World's End, we cover Grange Park (1 mile north-east), Oakwood (1 mile west), Southgate (2 miles south-west), Osidge (2 miles south-west) and Palmers Green (2 miles south). Within a short drive, we also cover London (10 miles south), City of Westminster (9 miles south), Marylebone (9 miles south), Kensington (11 miles south), St Pancras (8 miles south) and Shoreditch (8 miles south).

Well-known places in the area include Edmonton Green Shopping Centre (2.7 miles south-east) and Municipal Borough of Enfield (1.9 miles north-east). Green spaces nearby include Darland's Lake and Oakleigh Park Rail Cutting.

  • Local schools include Highlands School (under half a mile north) and Grange Park Preparatory School (0.7 miles south-east)
  • Nearby, you’ll find The Kings Head pub (0.8 miles south)

What we need at the venue

If a space is not suitable, we’ll tell you. What matters most:

  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours

In World's End, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think before booking.

Questions to ask before you book

The process

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. A December event in World's End will be in the dark from about 3:50pm, so choose a spot where guests can see what they’re ordering. At midsummer, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

  1. Begin with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. We come back with menu ideas and a quote.
  3. Nearer the date, we go over the final plan.
  4. We serve hot food from our food truck or trailer at the agreed time.
  5. When you are done, we pack away.

Before we arrive

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
