Mexican bar hire in Somers Town, served fresh

Aguas frescas are Mexico’s fresh fruit and flower drinks: agua de jamaica made with hibiscus, horchata, tamarind and fruit waters. They’re alcohol-free, so every guest can enjoy them. For wedding drinks receptions and licensed festivals, we’ll put together a menu of Mexican beer, margaritas and agua de jamaica and more.

In Somers Town, a drinks bar suits courtyard receptions, office parties and evening events. Parking and loading need planning, as with any London event, and all of Greater London is inside the ULEZ. If alcohol is being served, we’ll talk licensing through with you and your venue. You can book food, drinks or both, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

What Mexican bar hire costs

These are the factors that matter most:

  • How long we’re needed on site
  • The number of people
  • How many staff you need
  • Parking and the route in

Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

What we need to know

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • The date and time of the event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • The venue or postcode

Still deciding on the menu? No problem: give us the basics about your event, and we’ll make suggestions. To start, send a quick message through our quote form.

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Who books Mexican bar hire in Somers Town?

A drinks bar with a theme gives guests something to talk about.

  • End-of-year and Christmas parties
  • Engagement celebrations
  • Wedding receptions and evening parties
  • Big birthday celebrations

Planning drinks for every guest

Some planning tips for the drinks:

  • Tell us how many guests are under 18
  • Check allergies with guests, including for drinks
  • Give the council notice in good time for a Temporary Event Notice
  • Add food if the bar runs for a while

We can give allergen information for every drink.

Margaritas for the drinks reception, licensing permitting.

Somers Town questions

We are having a ceremony at St Mary's Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

What about parking in Somers Town?

London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. A parking suspension may be needed, and the whole of Greater London is inside the ULEZ.

Can you cater for children?

Yes. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

Can children have drinks from the bar?

Yes. Aguas frescas such as agua de jamaica and horchata are alcohol-free, along with soft drinks.

Do you need electricity?

Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we will park, and we’ll confirm what we need with your quote.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Ask us when you enquire. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Can guests build their own tacos?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

Do you have a licence to sell alcohol?

Alcohol at an event needs the venue’s premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice. We will talk licensing through with you. See GOV.UK for Temporary Event Notices.

How the day works

We get there well before you want to serve, then set up and prepare everything. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. A summer drinks reception in Somers Town has daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer, so evening drinks can be served in daylight. By late September, sunset is about 7:05pm, and in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so plan lighting around the bar.

  1. You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers and the drinks you have in mind.
  2. We check the licensing with you: the venue’s licence or a Temporary Event Notice.
  3. We suggest a drinks list and send a quote.
  4. On the day, our bar staff serve drinks responsibly at the agreed times.
  5. We pack away when the bar shuts and leave the area tidy.

How to prepare

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Ask the venue about power and water
