How our Mexican party catering works in Mortimer

Many gardens and drives can take a truck or trailer, as long as the ground is firm and level and the access is wide enough. Send us a photo if you’re unsure. It works well for milestone birthdays and baby celebrations, serving a build-your-own taco bar, guacamole and salsas and loaded nachos.

In a place like Mortimer, a garden party is usually the easiest option. Let us know how the truck or trailer can reach the garden, and we’ll do the rest. Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free included, and we give allergen information for every dish.

Planning for every diet

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Have bins ready
  • Tell us about any severe allergies before the party
  • Let the neighbours know
  • Give separate numbers for children

If it rains, we can still serve from the truck or trailer, though guests will want cover to eat under.

A wider choice of salsas and toppings.

What Mexican party catering costs

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Parking and the route in
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Timings and hours

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

What we need to know

To speed things up, tell us:

  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Where the event is
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • What you’d like on the menu

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. When you’re ready, send a quick message through our quote form.

Everyone builds their own plate.

Here are some of the events we cater:

Working with your venue

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so everyone is served promptly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Should I do it myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Planning the serving area

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:

  • A quick photo of the access helps us plan
  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle
  • Some distance from houses and neighbours

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

How it works

When we arrive, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we have agreed, planned around your event. In Mortimer, it’s light until about 9:25pm in June but dark by about 4:00pm in December, so the time of year shapes an evening party.

  1. You tell us the date, the address, guest numbers and any diets.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote for your party.
  3. Before the day, we check the space, the way in, power and water.
  4. On the day, we arrive, set up and start serving at the agreed time.
  5. When everyone is fed, we clear our area.

How to prepare

  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
