Mexican catering across E9
Keep it simple or go further: a taco menu, or tacos plus loaded nachos, quesadillas and burrito bowls. Our Mexican drinks bar can be added too. Popular choices include a build-your-own taco bar, quesadillas and loaded nachos, which works well for school fairs and fundraisers and staff parties and office lunches.
The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. Rain does not usually stop us serving, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit.
- First, send us a few details about your event.
- You get a sample menu and a quote.
- We agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
- On the day we park up, set up and serve hot food to order.
- We pack down after service and leave the area tidy.
What you will pay
Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you can choose what you need.

Around Hackney
In Hackney, that could mean a party near Cardinal Pole Catholic School, Church of St Luke and The Urswick School. Other local landmarks include Clapton Park (0.7 miles north-east), Berger Primary School (within half a mile north-east) and Chesham Arms (under half a mile north-west). Hackney has its own railway station: Homerton station, handy for guests travelling by train. Nearby you’ll also find Park (0.8 miles south-east) and Homerton University Hospital (within half a mile north). Not far away are Tower Hill and Old Ford Island.
Catering events across E9
From Homerton, Hackney and Cambridge Heath to 0 villages and hamlets, events across E9 range from town-centre venues to gardens and fields, and a food truck or trailer can work in all of them, given access. Town events mean planning parking; village events mean planning access and ground.
Hackney: Reaching Hackney by road is easy for us, thanks to the A107 and B113. When the service is at a church such as Church of St Luke, the food generally happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck. In Hackney, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. For winter events, when it’s dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.
Planners, venues and businesses
For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.
Throwing a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll let you know if it’s a good fit.
What we need at the venue
We’ll be honest if a space will not work. What matters most:
- Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
- Some distance from houses and neighbours
- A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
Should I do it myself?
A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Diets, allergies and planning
Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. A few tips:
- Collect dietary needs when guests reply
- Let us know if a guest is coeliac
- Confirm allergies by email before the event
- Give us separate numbers for children
We work around your timings, and adapt if they move.
Burrito bowls are a good choice for anyone avoiding tortillas, and they’re easy to adapt for different diets.
Is Mexican catering right for you?
A cold buffet is simple but tends to sit out for hours. Tacos and burritos are made to order and served hot.
What your quote should include
- The deposit and payment dates
- The wet-weather plan
- What the price includes, item by item
- Who provides plates and napkins
Questions from E9
Can you keep it mild?
We can keep it mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.
Which areas do you serve?
We cater across London and the South East, Greater London included. Find your area.
Do you clear up afterwards?
We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.
How does mobile Mexican catering work?
We arrive with our own mobile kitchen. We set up, serve your guests and clear away when service ends.
Is the food made fresh?
We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.
Can we add a bar?
Our drinks bar can be added to any booking, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. We’ll check the licensing with you before the day.
Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?
Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.
