Taco catering in E3: local guide

From Stratford, Hackney and Bethnal Green to 0 villages and hamlets, events across E3 range from town-centre venues to gardens and fields, and a truck or trailer suits most settings with access and level ground. In towns, plan parking and loading; in villages, tell us about lanes, gates and ground.

Mile End: For a christening or wedding at a church such as Holy Trinity Church, a food truck at a garden or venue nearby is an easy way to feed everyone. For a fête or sports day at a school such as Beatrice Tate School, hot food from a truck or trailer saves the volunteers from cooking. From late May to late September, sunset in Mile End moves from about 8:50pm to 7:05pm. If your event carries on later, tell us what lighting the venue has.

Comparing your options

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. Our truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, so we need a suitable spot, access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed when you book.

Comparing caterers

  • The caterer’s food hygiene rating
  • How late numbers can change
  • The deposit and payment dates
  • Space, access, power and water needs

Catering for every guest

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Try these:

  • Tell us what other food is being served
  • Confirm allergies by email before the event
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to talk to us before the event
  • Count children separately

Rain doesn’t stop us serving from the truck or trailer, but guests will need somewhere covered to eat.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can be added from our drinks bar.

What we need at the venue

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space when you contact us. In general, we need:

  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • Space for a taco-bar table if you’ve chosen one
  • Details of power and water on site, agreed when you book

Working with your venue

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

What’s on the menu
