Taco bar hire for your event in Aston

Our truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests, while smaller parties are quoted case by case. Tell us your numbers and we’ll plan the taco bar around them. It suits leaving dos and anniversary parties, serving slow-cooked fillings kept hot, burrito bowls and guacamole.

Somewhere as small as Aston, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. Timings are planned around your event, whether that’s speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

How the day works

On the day, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we’ve agreed, so everything runs to your schedule. Daylight in Aston runs to about 9:00pm in late May and 7:10pm in late September. Let us know if an outdoor station will run after dark, and we’ll talk about lighting.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. Afterwards, we pack down and leave the area tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely

How it compares

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen, waiting staff and fixed courses. For a taco bar, we need a serving spot, a nearby place to unload and the venue’s permission, and power and water are confirmed with each booking. Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

What taco bar hire costs

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, depending on:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Guest numbers
  • What’s on the menu

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. We quote for each event individually.

What we need to know

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • The venue or postcode
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • How we drive in and where we can park

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you actually want. To ask for one, fill in our quote form.

Aston: your questions answered

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St James?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Do you cater in villages like Aston?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Does the taco bar need the truck on site?

It can go beside the truck or trailer, or somewhere a vehicle cannot reach. Either way, we need to unload nearby and have the venue’s permission.

When do you arrive?

We get there well before service to set up. Serving times are agreed with you in advance, along with pack-down.

Is the food very hot?

The food can be kept mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

How much is a food truck for an event?

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you actually need. Tell us your date and numbers for a clear quote.

How do you handle dietary needs at the taco bar?

Fillings and toppings sit in separate dishes, which helps with mixed diets, though we cannot guarantee there are no traces of any allergen. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us first.

What do you serve?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings might include chicken tinga, pork carnitas, al pastor-style pork and vegan options like black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

Planning for every diet

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Here’s how:

  • Have anyone with a severe allergy speak to us first
  • Make sure guests have somewhere to sit
  • Agree the serving spot with your venue early
  • Give us separate numbers for children

After the last plate, we take the bar down, then load our vehicle.

Book the truck or trailer for evening food after a daytime taco bar, quoted with the rest.

Space, access and the venue

Every venue is different, so we’ll ask about yours before we confirm. Generally, we look for:

  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • Permission from the venue for us to set up
  • A flat spot for the taco-bar station

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before booking.
