Taco bar hire for your event in Banstead

The taco bar works for a wedding breakfast, a party or a working lunch. Building your own is quick, which keeps the line moving. It works well for family get-togethers and anniversary parties, with pickled onions and toppings, warm corn and flour tortillas and burrito bowls.

Around Banstead, a taco bar can stand beside our truck on a drive or lawn. Where access is tight, the truck stays nearby and the station goes where your guests are, as long as we can unload within a short walk. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Taco bar hire or something else?

Next to a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar handles vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests without separate plates. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Ask us for a quote.

No two venues are the same, so we will ask about yours when you get in touch. Generally, we look for:

  • A short, clear path for carrying the bar in
  • Space for a serving table on level ground
  • Somewhere close by for our vehicle to park and unload

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Catering for every guest

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Put allergies in writing for us
  • Make sure guests have somewhere to sit
  • Decide where the table goes before the day
  • Include a dietary question on your invitations

We get there early enough to unload, lay out the table and heat everything through.

Ask us whether a second station would help with big numbers.

What taco bar hire costs

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Serving staff
  • The number of people
  • Food, drinks or both

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • What power and water the site has
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • The venue or postcode
  • Diets and allergies you know about

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, tell us about it on our contact page.

What happens on the day

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your event. Around midsummer it stays light in Banstead until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is typically served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Send us your date, where the taco bar will go, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.

Before we arrive

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough

How to get a price

Each quote is tailored to your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.
