Taco bar hire for Booker events

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

A taco bar and a truck serve the same food in different ways. From the truck, we put each order together; at the bar, guests build their own. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why us?

  • We cover Booker and the whole of Buckinghamshire
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • Allergen-aware menus
  • Service planned around your numbers

Taco bar hire in Booker, served fresh

Truck and trailer bookings generally suit around 50 to 400 guests, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Share your headcount and we will size the taco bar to match. For christenings and family parties and anniversary parties, we can serve pickled onions and toppings, warm corn and flour tortillas and a build-your-own taco bar.

Around Booker, a taco bar can stand beside our truck on a drive or lawn. Where access is tight, the truck stays nearby and the station goes where your guests are, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so there are no surprises on arrival.

What affects the price in Booker

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Timings and hours
  • The menu you choose
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you actually want. To ask for one, send us your details through our quote form.

Catering for every guest

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Include a vegan filling on the bar
  • Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
  • Let us know about anyone who is coeliac
  • Put allergies in writing for us

Once guests have eaten, we clear the table and pack up, then load our vehicle.

Tell us if you need plates and cutlery and we’ll confirm what’s possible in your quote.

How it works

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. Send us a photo of the space if you are unsure. In Booker, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we choose what goes on the bar.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we will unload.
  4. On the day, guests help themselves while we keep the bar stocked.
  5. When everyone has eaten, we pack up.

Before we arrive

  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Tell us what power and water the site has
  • Tell us when you want service to start

What’s on the menu

Toppings

Toppings let guests finish their tacos their way, and dairy-free choices are kept apart.

Warm tortillas

Corn and flour tortillas, warmed through in batches. Corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
