How our taco bar hire works in Bramshaw

The taco bar works for a wedding breakfast, a party or a working lunch. Building your own is quick, which keeps the line moving. It works well for team socials and summer garden parties, serving burrito bowls, a build-your-own taco bar and warm corn and flour tortillas.

In a hamlet or village like Bramshaw, a barn or marquee can shelter a taco bar from the weather. Our staff set up the station and run it through service; tell us about access and parking. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Common questions in Bramshaw

Do you cater in villages like Bramshaw?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Peter: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

What guest numbers do you cater for?

Our service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Tell us your numbers and we’ll plan the bar around them.

What about power on site?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we will park.

Does the taco bar need the truck on site?

It can go beside the truck or trailer, or somewhere a vehicle can’t reach. We need a nearby place to unload, plus the venue’s agreement.

How spicy is the food?

The food can be kept mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

How long do you serve for?

We get there well before service to set up. The length of service is agreed when you book, along with pack-down.

Who clears up?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Diets, allergies and planning

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Tell us when guests should eat
  • Let us know about anyone who is coeliac
  • Ensure one filling is vegan
  • Tell us how many children are coming

Fillings are kept hot and tortillas warmed in batches, so the bar stays fresh from the first plate to the last.

Add burrito bowls for guests who’d rather skip tortillas.

Prices and what affects them

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • The number of people
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Travel, parking and access

Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

What to tell us

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • What power and water the site has
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both

We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. To send them, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Organising for someone else?

Hosting a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll let you know if it is a good fit.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

What happens on the day

We get there well before you want to serve, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. A December taco bar in Bramshaw will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so set the station up where the lighting is good. At midsummer, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:25pm.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar menu and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.
