Taco bar hire in Eastleigh, from our truck or trailer

Taco bars suit wedding breakfasts, parties and office lunches alike. Guests build their plates quickly, so a crowd moves through steadily. At christenings and family parties and summer garden parties, we’ll put together a menu of fresh salsas, warm corn and flour tortillas and a build-your-own taco bar for your guests.

In Eastleigh, a taco bar can be set up inside a hall or club, with the venue’s agreement. The station needs space, a route in from the parking area and room to queue. Guests are served from our food truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Comparing your options

The difference between a taco bar and truck service is who builds the taco. At the hatch, we make each order; at the bar, guests build their own. There is no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

Why us?

  • Menus chosen with you
  • A plan agreed before the day
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
  • Served fresh from our food truck or trailer

Take a look at our pricing or the cost guide.

Step by step

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. When service ends, we pack down. In Eastleigh, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is typically served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 4:00pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Begin with the date and headcount.
  2. We plan fillings and toppings around your guests’ diets.
  3. We fix timings with you and the venue.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. We clear our station when service ends.

Before we arrive

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

Eastleigh: your questions answered

Do you cater at coastal events near Eastleigh?

Yes, as long as the site allows it and the ground is firm. Seafront and beach spots normally need permission, and wind is the main thing to plan for.

Is Eastleigh close to London?

It’s about 65 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Can you come to a private house?

Yes, if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level, firm ground. Tell us about the drive, gates and any slopes.

Where do you cater?

London and South East England: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

How far ahead should we book?

As soon as you have a date. Popular dates go first, so it pays to ask early.

How big an event can you cater?

Truck and trailer service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Tell us your numbers.

Can you run a bar?

Yes, we do. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own. We will check the licensing for alcohol with you.

When do you arrive?

We arrive in good time to set up before service. The length of service is agreed when you book, along with pack-down.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

Should I do it myself?

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Eastleigh: venues, access and set-up

Eastleigh is about 4 miles north-east of Southampton, in Hampshire. From the centre of Eastleigh to the outskirts, we offer the same service: a truck or trailer at your event, options for every diet and a clear price. We cater in 683 places across Hampshire, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in.

By rail: Eastleigh has its own station, Eastleigh station. Parks such as Lakeside Country Park usually need the owner’s agreement for catering, even without a truck on the grass, so ask before you plan. Eastleigh is within about 6 miles of the sea, so for a seaside taco bar we plan around the wind. A sheltered spot for the station helps, and seafront sites usually need permission.

Anywhere in SO50, SO30, SO31 and SO19, we can bring the truck or trailer to your guests. From Market Street, High Street and Scotter Square or anywhere nearby, we’ll plan where to park and serve. Main roads around Eastleigh include the A335 and B3033, so getting the truck or trailer to your event is simple. We also serve at events in Bishopstoke (1 mile east), Boyatt Wood (1 mile north-west), Allbrook (2 miles north), Lord's Wood (2 miles north-east) and Highbridge (2 miles north). We also cater in nearby towns such as Winchester (6 miles north), Gosport (14 miles south-east), Fareham (10 miles south-east), Horndean (15 miles east), Totton (8 miles south-west) and Hedge End (4 miles south-east). As one of the bigger places in Hampshire, Eastleigh has lots of places to hold an event.

A little further out are Moorgreen Hospital (2.9 miles south) and Eastleigh Museum (less than half a mile west). Not far away are Flexford Nature Reserve.

  • Nearby schools include Quilley School of Engineering (0.8 miles south-west)
  • Pubs nearby include The Wagon Works pub (within half a mile north-west)
