About our taco bar hire in Churt

The toppings are where guests get creative: lime wedges, coriander, pickled onions, cheese and crema. At engagement parties and leaving dos, we can serve warm corn and flour tortillas, guacamole and fresh salsas.

For a rural spot like Churt, a taco bar beside the truck in a field or garden is a simple set-up. Let us know about the gate, the ground and the route in, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. Comparing your options

Plated meals depend on a kitchen and a team of waiting staff. A taco bar needs a serving spot, somewhere close to unload and the venue’s agreement, and power and water are confirmed with each booking. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

Common questions in Churt

Do you come out to small places like Churt?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St John the Evangelist?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

How many guests can you serve?

Our truck and trailer service usually suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Tell us your numbers.

Do you take everything away?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Are plates and napkins included?

We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, using corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Of course. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms.

Which areas do you serve?

We cover London and the South East, Surrey included. See all areas.

What we need at the venue

No two venues are the same, so we will ask about yours when you get in touch. In general, we need:

  • Room for the bar alongside the vehicle, if booked together
  • Room for guests to queue along the table
  • The venue’s or landowner’s agreement

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

For event organisers in Churt

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep you updated on timings and set-up.

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.

Catering for every guest

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Plan the taco bar around speeches and timings
  • Include a dietary question on your invitations
  • Put guests with serious allergies in touch with us early
  • Let us know about anyone who is coeliac

Our staff stand behind the bar to top up dishes and help guests about fillings and allergens.

Our food truck or trailer can serve later in the day, after the taco bar.

How we price taco bar hire

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Guest numbers
  • Serving staff
  • The menu you choose
  • Parking and the route in

There’s no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.

Getting an accurate quote

To speed things up, tell us:

  • What power and water the site has
  • The date and rough timings
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • The address or venue name

Still deciding on the menu? That is fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we will make suggestions. To start, fill in our quote form.

Should I do it myself?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Our caterer checklist

What happens on the day

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. Around midsummer it stays light in Churt until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is generally served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 4:00pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and guests help themselves.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
