Taco bar hire for Conyer events

How our taco bar hire works in Conyer

A taco bar suits mixed diets well, as fillings and toppings are kept in separate dishes. There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan choices, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish. For wedding evening food and back-garden gatherings, we’ll put together a menu of fresh salsas, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and burrito bowls for your guests.

In a small place like Conyer, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. We cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish.

What’s on the menu

Hot fillings

You might choose two or three fillings, with at least one vegan. We agree them with you.

Vegan fillings

Vegan guests get a proper filling of their own.

Working with your venue

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Hosting a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we will let you know if it is a good fit.

Comparing your options

Compared with a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar caters for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free guests from one table. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

What you get with us

  • Allergen-aware menus
  • Book food, drinks or both
  • A plan agreed before the day

Your questions about taco bar hire in Conyer

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Mary: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

Do you set up taco bars indoors in places like Conyer?

We can, as long as the venue agrees. The station needs room for a queue, and we need to park and unload close to the door.

What should the venue provide?

Room for the table and a queue, plus a nearby place to unload. We confirm power and water when you book.

How far ahead should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it is soon.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, using corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can explain how we prepare their food.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu, served alongside the meat options.

What access do you need?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, plus the venue’s permission. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

How much is a food truck for an event?

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you want. Tell us your date and numbers for a clear quote.

Space, access and the venue

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We look for:

  • Space for a line of guests at the bar
  • A clear route from the vehicle to the serving spot
  • A level area for the taco-bar table

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Popular choices

  • Vegan fillings
  • Tortilla chips
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Two to four fillings

The process

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our truck or trailer, and serve without fuss. In Conyer, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is usually served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:50pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. We send a sample spread and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

How to prepare

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve

Planning for every diet

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:

  • Have tables and seats ready for guests to eat at
  • Let us know about anyone who is coeliac
  • Send us allergy details in writing
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to contact us before the day

If speeches or timings run over, we keep the fillings hot and start when you are ready.

Tell us if you need plates and cutlery and we will set out the options in your quote.

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

  • What’s on the menu
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Guest numbers
