How our taco bar hire works in Drayton

We can serve the taco bar next to the truck or trailer, or as a separate station. Where a vehicle can’t reach the serving spot, we unload nearby and set the table up there, with the venue’s agreement. On the menu are fresh salsas, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and pickled onions and toppings, and it suits summer garden parties and christenings and family parties.

For a rural spot like Drayton, a taco bar beside the truck in a field or garden is a simple set-up. Tell us about gates, ground and the distance from the lane, and we’ll confirm power and water with you. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

FAQs for Drayton

Which station should guests use for Drayton?

Guests can use Petersfield station, about 4.7 miles east of Drayton.

Do you cater in villages like Drayton?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Ask us when you enquire. Let us know what you already have, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Do you do a taco bar?

We can. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings. Read our taco bar guide.

How much does taco bar hire cost in Drayton?

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you want. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas for a clear quote.

Do you do parties at home?

It depends on access. If the truck or trailer can’t reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a photo and we will talk it through.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we plan gluten-free dishes carefully and give allergen information.

Do you cover Drayton?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including Drayton and the rest of Hampshire. To check your date, send us your details through our quote form.

Diets, allergies and planning

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Flag any guest with coeliac disease
  • Decide where the table goes before the day
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to contact us before the day
  • Check where our vehicle can unload

Indoors or under cover, the bar carries on whatever the weather.

Nachos to share can keep guests going before the bar opens.

Why choose taco bar hire in Drayton?

Building your own is quick, so a crowd is fed at a steady pace.

A truck or trailer works for big and small events alike. Typical bookings include:

  • Birthday parties
  • Garden parties
  • Company parties
  • Barn and marquee parties

When the service is at a church such as Church of All Saints, the taco bar would be set up at the reception venue rather than the church.

What to look for in a quote

  • If the price includes VAT
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • A food hygiene rating you can check
  • A clear list of what’s included

How to compare caterers

Should I do it myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

How it compares

Compared with a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar caters for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free guests from one table. Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue

What happens on the day

Your timings come first. If things run behind, let us know and we’ll adjust where we can. Around midsummer it stays light in Drayton until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 4:00pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Contact us with your date and headcount.
  2. We agree a menu that covers every diet.
  3. Nearer the date, we confirm timings and the serving spot.
  4. Service starts when your running order says.
  5. We clear our station when service ends.

Preparing for the day

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
