Taco bar hire for your event in Forty Green

We run the taco bar ourselves: keeping the fillings hot, warming tortillas and topping up the bowls. Your hosts can stay with their guests. It suits leaving and retirement parties and working lunches, with burrito bowls, fresh salsas and warm corn and flour tortillas.

Somewhere as small as Forty Green, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. We plan the timings around your day, so service starts when you want it.

What affects the price in Forty Green

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • The menu you choose
  • Timings and hours
  • Guest numbers
  • Parking and the route in

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we will set out what’s included.

What to tell us

To speed things up, tell us:

  • The date and rough timings
  • Your menu ideas
  • What power and water the site has
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground

Still deciding on the menu? That’s fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll suggest a menu. When you’re ready, send a quick message through our quote form.

Forty Green: your questions answered

Do you cater in the Chilterns National Landscape?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

Do you come out to small places like Forty Green?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Let us know about access and parking for the truck or trailer.

Can guests build their own tacos?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

What space does a taco bar need?

Tell us about the venue and the spot you have in mind, and we’ll confirm what’s needed. The venue’s agreement is needed too.

Who clears up?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Can you cater for children?

Yes. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.

What does a taco bar cost?

We do not publish set prices, as each booking is different. Share your plans and you will get a quote. See what Mexican catering costs for background.

Planning the serving area

We will agree the spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • The venue’s agreement for the taco bar and our vehicle
  • Space for a serving table on level ground
  • Room for guests to queue along the table

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.

What we offer

  • Two to four fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Vegan fillings
  • Tortilla chips

Can I do a taco night myself?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.
