Book taco bar hire in Fox

How it compares

For a meal that is hands-on for guests but not for you, a taco bar suits events well. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

Taco bar hire in Fox, served fresh

For a bigger spread, burrito bowls, nachos or quesadillas can sit alongside the tacos. Our drinks bar can be booked with it too, with licensing checked with you. At wedding day food and christenings and family parties, we can serve warm corn and flour tortillas, guacamole and pickled onions and toppings and more.

Near Fox, a taco bar next to the truck in a field or garden works well. Tell us about gates, ground and the distance from the lane, and we will confirm power and water with you. Common questions in Fox

Will you travel to a small place like Fox?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

We are having a ceremony at Church of St Mary: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Can you do dairy-free food?

We can. We offer dairy-free options, and we will tell you which dishes contain milk.

What should the venue provide?

A level spot for the serving table, room to queue and somewhere close to unload our vehicle. Power and water are confirmed with each booking.

How big an event can you cater?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, made with corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared.

Do you need power and water?

Tell us what the site has, for example a supply from the venue, and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.

The menu, item by item

Vegan fillings

A vegan filling sits on the bar with the rest.

Guacamole

No taco bar is complete without guacamole, so we keep it topped up.

Dietary needs and planning tips

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Choose at least one vegan filling
  • Agree the serving spot with your venue early
  • Flag any guest with coeliac disease
  • Tell us how many children are coming

Once guests have eaten, we clear the table and pack up and leave the spot tidy.

Add burrito bowls for guests who’d rather skip tortillas.

Space, access and the venue

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • A level area for the taco-bar table
  • Cover overhead if the bar is outdoors
  • Space beside the truck or trailer if you’re booking both

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Should I do it myself?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

How we price taco bar hire

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • What the venue already provides
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Staff for serving and the bar

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

What we need to know

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • A photo of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • The date and rough timings
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

We quote for each event separately, based on what you need. For a quote, tell us about it on our contact page.

The process

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can enjoy your event. From late May to late September, sunset in Fox moves from about 8:55pm to 7:10pm. Let us know if an outdoor station will run after dark, and we will talk about lighting.

  1. Contact us with your date and headcount.
  2. We agree a menu that covers every diet.
  3. Nearer the date, we confirm timings and the serving spot.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. Once service is over, we pack away.

Preparing for the day

  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
