Taco bar hire for Greengate events

About our taco bar hire in Greengate

Our taco bar travels to events across Greengate and the surrounding area: from barns and marquees to gardens, halls and offices. It works well for family get-togethers and team socials, serving fresh salsas, pickled onions and toppings and warm corn and flour tortillas.

In Greengate, all a taco bar needs is room for the station and space for guests to queue. Tell us where we can stop to unload, and about stairs, lifts or narrow doors, as London parking takes planning. Guests are served from our truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Prices and what affects them

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, because of:

  • Timings and hours
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Whether you need disposables
  • Your choice of food and drinks

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

Details that help

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • What power and water the site has
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Where the event is

To get a price, just fill in our quote form. Tell us about your event in Greengate, and we’ll suggest a menu to suit.

For planners, venues and organisers

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

Throwing a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

How it compares

The difference between a taco bar and truck service is who builds the taco. From the truck, we put each order together; at the taco bar, guests do the building. Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

What you get with us

  • Menus for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • Service planned around your numbers

Questions to ask before you book

  • Any travel, parking or access charges
  • Allergen information for each dish
  • If the price includes VAT
  • Plates and napkins, or nothing at all

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Planning the serving area

Everything is served from our food truck or trailer, so the spot needs a little planning. These are the things we check:

  • Details of power and water near the bar
  • Easy access from where we unload to the table
  • Somewhere close by for our vehicle to park and unload

In Greengate, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

Popular choices

  • Tortilla chips
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Vegan fillings
  • Two to four fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole

Warm tortillas

Tortillas are the base of the bar. We warm them as the bar needs them.

Greengate questions

Can you set up a taco bar where your truck can’t park in Greengate?

Yes, if the venue allows it. The truck or trailer does not have to reach the room, but we do need to unload close by, so tell us about loading, permits and parking.

Which station should guests use for Greengate?

The closest is West Ham station, roughly 1 mile away.

Can you set up where a truck can’t get in?

The taco bar can be served from a table or station away from the truck. We still need to park our vehicle nearby to unload, and the venue’s agreement.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Please ask us. Tell us what your venue provides, and we’ll set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Is the taco bar staffed?

Our staff set up the bar, keep the fillings hot and top up the dishes through service.

How is the food prepared?

Food is cooked to order in our food truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

What access do you need?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, plus the venue’s permission. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

Where do you cater?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Diets, allergies and planning

With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies on the RSVP
  • Ensure guests have somewhere to sit
  • Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
  • Give us separate numbers for children

Indoors or under cover, the bar carries on whatever the weather, so plan somewhere sheltered if you can.

Nachos to share can keep guests going before the bar opens.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
