Taco bar hire near Harpsden

Harpsden questions

Do you come out to small places like Harpsden?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Do you set up taco bars indoors in places like Harpsden?

We can, as long as the venue agrees. The station needs room for a queue, and we need to park and unload close to the door.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

Can you cater for guests who avoid dairy?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus, and we will tell you which dishes contain milk.

Where do you cater?

We cater across London and the South East, including Oxfordshire. See all areas.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we will talk licensing through with you.

What if the weather’s bad?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

Do you need power and water?

Let us know what’s available on site, for instance a supply from the venue, and we’ll confirm what we need with your quote.

Taco bar hire for your event in Harpsden

For a bigger spread, burrito bowls, nachos or quesadillas can sit alongside the tacos. Margaritas and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can be added. It works well for working lunches and evening wedding receptions, with warm corn and flour tortillas, fresh salsas and guacamole.

Near Harpsden, a marquee or barn makes a good home for a taco bar. We set up the station and our team runs it; tell us about access and parking. We will check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

How it works

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered. In Harpsden, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Start with your date, venue and guest numbers.
  2. We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we will unload.
  4. Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
  5. When everyone has eaten, we pack up.

How to prepare

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in

What affects the price in Harpsden

We quote for your event, which reflects:

  • The number of people
  • What’s on the menu
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • How long we are needed on site

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

Details that help

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Where the event is
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Diets and allergies you know about

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, use our quote form.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Every guest is catered for, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan included. To get it right:

  • Tell us when guests should eat
  • Ensure guests have somewhere to sit
  • Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
  • Put guests with serious allergies in touch with us early

A covered spot keeps the bar and guests dry if it rains.

Add burrito bowls for guests who’d rather skip tortillas.

Should I do it myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

Organising for someone else?

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can check the date.

Before you choose a spot

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space before we confirm. In general, we need:

  • A flat spot for the taco-bar station
  • Room for the bar alongside the vehicle, if booked together
  • Room for guests to queue along the table

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.
