Taco bar hire near Highsted

How it compares

A taco bar and a truck serve the same food in different ways. From the truck, we put each order together; at the taco bar, guests do the building. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

Why us?

  • Access, space and power checked in advance
  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • We cover Highsted and the whole of Kent

Taco bar hire for your event in Highsted

Add burrito bowls, loaded nachos or quesadillas if you’d like more choice. Margaritas and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can be added. At barn and marquee parties and wedding day food, we will put together a menu of pickled onions and toppings, fresh salsas and guacamole for your guests.

Near Highsted, a marquee or barn makes a good home for a taco bar. Our staff set up the station and run it through service; tell us about access and parking. We will check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Tell us when guests should eat
  • Pick the spot for the taco bar in advance
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to contact us before the day
  • Count children separately

If speeches or timings run over, we keep the fillings hot and start when you’re ready.

Our drinks bar can sit alongside the taco bar with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you.

What taco bar hire costs

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • How many guests we are serving
  • What the venue already provides
  • How many staff you need

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you choose what goes in.

Getting an accurate quote

Good planning starts with a few facts. Try to include:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • What power and water the site has
  • Your date and when you want service to start

The process

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can enjoy your event. Winter evenings in Highsted close in by about 3:50pm, so set the station up where the lighting is good. In late June, the light holds until around 9:15pm.

  1. Send us your date, where the taco bar will go, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. We suggest fillings, salsas and toppings for the bar and send a quote.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.

Before we arrive

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Ask the venue about power and water

Occasions we cater for in Highsted

Guests on special diets don’t need a separate meal, since corn tortillas and vegan fillings sit with everything else.

A truck or trailer suits almost any gathering. In Highsted, you could book us for occasions like:

  • Marquee parties
  • Summer garden parties
  • Working lunches
  • Milestone birthdays

Before you plan a taco bar in Cromers Wood, find out who manages it, as catering and unloading there both need their agreement.

Questions to ask before you book

  • VAT, if it applies
  • The deadline for final numbers
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • Any travel, parking or access charges

Our caterer checklist

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Questions from Highsted

How far is Highsted from London?

About 38 miles from central London.

Could you serve in Cromers Wood?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.

What areas do you cover?

We cater across London and the South East, Kent included. See all areas.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it’s short notice, it is worth asking.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we will talk licensing through with you.

Are plates and napkins included?

We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies.

Can you plan for allergies?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, with allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Do you cook on site?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
