How our taco bar hire works in Horsenden

For a bigger spread, burrito bowls, nachos or quesadillas can sit alongside the tacos. Our drinks bar can be booked with it too, with licensing checked with you. It works well for engagement parties and family celebrations, serving warm corn and flour tortillas, a build-your-own taco bar and fresh salsas.

Near Horsenden, a taco bar next to the truck in a field or garden works well. Let us know about the gate, the ground and the route in, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Working with your venue

Hosting a party at home? Send us a photo of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll let you know if it is a good fit.

Events in public spaces, like parks, generally need permission. We’ll provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Prices and what affects them

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • How many staff you need
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • What the venue already provides

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What to tell us

To check availability and price, we need:

  • The venue or postcode
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you are ready, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

How it compares

Pizza is a safe choice, but a taco bar gives guests more say over what they eat. Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Your quote confirms the full price.

Why book with us

  • Service planned around your numbers
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
  • A quote that sets out what’s included

Dietary needs and planning tips

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Include a dietary question on your invitations
  • Agree the serving spot with your venue early
  • Put guests with serious allergies in touch with us early
  • Put allergies in writing for us

After the last plate, we take the bar down, then load our vehicle.

Add burrito bowls for guests who’d rather skip tortillas.

Perfect for your event in Horsenden

Guests on special diets don’t need a separate meal, since corn tortillas and vegan fillings sit with everything else.

If you’re planning any of these, we can help:

  • Evening wedding receptions
  • Birthday parties
  • Summer garden parties
  • Family celebrations

By rail: Horsenden has its own station, Princes Risborough station.

Questions to ask before booking

  • How dietary needs and allergies are handled
  • Who provides plates and napkins
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • How bad weather is handled

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Horsenden: your questions answered

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St Michael and All Angels?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Tell us where the reception will be.

How far is Horsenden from central London?

It is about 36 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Do you give allergen information?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

When do you arrive?

It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance to suit your day.

How soon do we need to book?

As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so it pays to ask early.

What do you need at the venue?

Access and level ground matter most: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a photo of the space and the way in.

Do you have options for kids?

Of course. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

How does a taco bar work?

Each guest builds tacos from the fillings, salsas and toppings laid out. We run the bar from set-up to pack-down.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

What happens on the day

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. Evenings in Horsenden stay light until about 9:25pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm. Once it gets dark, guests need to see what they’re adding to their tacos.

  1. Contact us with your date and headcount.
  2. We agree a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We fix timings with you and the venue.
  4. Service starts when your running order says.
  5. We clear our station when service ends.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us what power and water the site has
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
