Taco bar hire in Hythe, served fresh
Our staff set up the taco bar and look after it through service: keeping the fillings hot, warming tortillas and topping up the bowls. Your hosts can stay with their guests. It works well for family get-togethers and evening wedding receptions, with pickled onions and toppings, fresh salsas and guacamole.
Some gardens in Hythe can only be reached on foot, so we can park nearby, with permission, and set the taco bar up in the garden. Let us know the route from where we’d park. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.
Taco bar hire or something else?
A standard buffet often sits out cold. We keep the fillings hot and refill the dishes through service. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we will set out what’s included.

How we price taco bar hire
Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:
- Food, drinks or both
- Serving staff
- Parking and the route in
- The menu you choose
The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.
What to tell us
Good planning starts with a few facts. Try to include:
- Any dietary needs and allergies
- Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
- The date and rough timings
- What you’d like on the menu
The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. To send your details, fill in our quote form.
The process
On the day, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. We’re ready to serve at the agreed time, planned around your event. Around midsummer it stays light in Hythe until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is normally served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:50pm, plan good lighting over the station.
- Start with the essentials: the date, venue, headcount and diets.
- You get a suggested taco-bar spread and a quote.
- We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
- We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and guests help themselves.
- Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.
Preparing for the day
- Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
- Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
- Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
How to get a price
Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and we will reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, tell us about it on our contact page.

DIY taco night or a caterer?
Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.
Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

Thinking of a taco bar in Oaklands Park? Catering in a public park generally needs the landowner’s permission, so check first. When the service is at a church such as Church of St Michael and All Angels, the taco bar would be set up at the reception venue rather than the church. Venues in and around the Kent Downs National Landscape, within about 6 miles of Hythe, sometimes have strict rules about catering and vehicles. Check with yours where a taco bar station and our truck or trailer could go. With the sea within about a mile, a taco bar at a coastal venue is an option. Open toppings and a sea breeze do not mix, so a sheltered or indoor spot is best.

FAQs for Hythe
We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Michael and All Angels: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.
Do you give allergen information?

That depends on access. A drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission, if the garden itself is out of reach. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.
