Taco bar hire in Kingston, served fresh

Toppings make the bar: pickled onions, coriander, lime, shredded lettuce and cheese, depending on the menu you choose. It works well for working lunches and birthday parties, with guacamole, warm corn and flour tortillas and slow-cooked fillings kept hot.

Near Kingston, a hall or club may suit a taco bar if your own space is tight; the station needs a level surface, the venue’s permission and somewhere to unload. Timings are planned around your event, whether that’s speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

  • The caterer’s food hygiene rating
  • What the price includes, item by item
  • Plates and napkins, or nothing at all

How to compare caterers

Dietary needs and planning tips

We take diets and allergies seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Have anyone with a severe allergy speak to us first
  • Flag any guest with coeliac disease
  • Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
  • Count children separately

If speeches or timings run over, we keep the fillings hot and start when you are ready.

Loaded nachos make a good starter while the bar is set up.

Organising for someone else?

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Hosting a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

What taco bar hire costs

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • Guest numbers
  • Parking and the route in
  • Timings and hours
  • How many staff you need

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

Details that help

These details help us quote quickly:

  • What power and water the site has
  • Expected numbers
  • The venue or postcode
  • Diets and allergies you know about

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. Just send us your details through our quote form.

Popular choices

Vegan fillings

Vegan guests get a proper filling of their own, not an afterthought.

Salsas

Guests add as much heat as they like.

The process

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. Rain does not generally stop us serving, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. From late May to late September, sunset in Kingston moves from about 8:55pm to 7:10pm. Let us know if an outdoor station will run after dark, and we will talk about lighting.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we choose what goes on the bar.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we’ll unload.
  4. Our staff set out the bar and guests build their own tacos.
  5. We clear the bar away after service.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely

Planning help

Comparing your options

The difference between a taco bar and truck service is who builds the taco. From the truck, we put each order together; at the taco bar, guests do the building. Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you can choose what you need.

Why us?

  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Allergen-aware menus
  • We cover Kingston and the whole of Portsmouth
  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
