Taco bar hire near Knox Bridge

Your questions about taco bar hire in Knox Bridge

How far is Knox Bridge from central London?

It’s about 38 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Do you cater in the High Weald National Landscape?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

What about power on site?

It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

When should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it’s short notice, it’s worth asking.

When do you arrive?

That depends on your event and menu. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you to suit your day.

What’s on the menu?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings could include chicken tinga, pork carnitas, al pastor-style pork and vegan options like black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

Is the taco bar staffed?

We run the station ourselves, so you do not need helpers. We pack it away afterwards.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we do. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. For alcohol, we will go through the licensing with you and your venue.

About our taco bar hire in Knox Bridge

You choose the fillings with us, such as pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, plus a vegan choice such as spiced mushroom or black bean and sweet potato. Popular choices include pickled onions and toppings, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and warm corn and flour tortillas, and it suits working lunches and engagement parties.

For a rural spot like Knox Bridge, a taco bar beside the truck in a field or garden is a simple set-up. Tell us about gates, ground and the distance from the lane, and we’ll confirm power and water with you. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our truck or trailer.

How it compares

Pizza is the usual crowd-pleaser, but a taco bar lets every guest design their own plate. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there is no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Why us?

  • A clear quote
  • Access, space and power checked in advance
  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch

Take a look at our pricing and the cost guide.

What taco bar hire costs

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • What’s on the menu
  • What the venue already provides

Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you can choose what you need.

Getting an accurate quote

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • The date and rough timings
  • The address or venue name

Send us the date, your venue or TN17 postcode and guest numbers, plus any dietary needs, and you’ll get menu ideas and a price. To get started, tell us about it on our contact page.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

The process

We work to your timings. If things run behind, tell us and we will adjust the start of service where we can. Winter evenings in Knox Bridge close in by about 3:50pm, so set the station up where the lighting is good. At midsummer, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:15pm.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. Together we fix the spot for the taco bar and a nearby place for our vehicle.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.

Preparing for the day

  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

Not sure what you need yet? That’s fine: give us the basics about your event, and we will suggest a menu. When you’re ready, tell us about it on our contact page.

Diets, allergies and planning

With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:

  • Fit the bar into your running order
  • Count children separately
  • Make sure one filling is vegan
  • Confirm a loading spot close to the bar

If speeches or timings run over, we keep the fillings hot and start when you are ready.

Burrito bowls sit well on the bar for anyone avoiding tortillas.

What’s on the menu

Warm tortillas

Tortillas are the base of the bar. We warm them as the bar needs them through service.

Guacamole

Guacamole goes quickly on a taco bar, so we keep it topped up.

Organising for someone else?

If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We’ll provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.
