About our taco bar hire in Lower Clapton
Truck and trailer bookings normally suit around 50 to 400 guests, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Tell us your numbers and we’ll plan the taco bar around them. On the menu are warm corn and flour tortillas, guacamole and pickled onions and toppings, which works well for evening wedding receptions and birthday parties.
Around Lower Clapton, a taco bar suits venues and gardens that a food truck can’t get into. Our staff set up a serving station on a table, and guests build their own tacos. We still need to park and unload close by, so tell us about loading bays, permits or a parking suspension. All of Greater London is inside the ULEZ. Every guest is catered for, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan included, with allergen information for everything we serve.

What taco bar hire costs
The price comes down to a few factors:
- How many staff you need
- The menu you choose
- Plates, napkins and cutlery
- Timings and hours
Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.
What to tell us
You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:
- Expected numbers
- A photo of the space, if it’s a garden or field
- Where the event is
- Any dietary needs and allergies
Each quote is tailored to your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.
Space, access and the venue
Every venue is different, so we ask about the space before we confirm. In general, we need:
- Permission from the venue for us to set up
- A parking or loading spot near the serving area
- A clear area in front of the station

Planning for every diet
With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:
- Include a dietary question on your invitations
- Pick the spot for the taco bar in advance
- Tell us about coeliac guests specifically
- Tell us when guests should eat
Each dish is labelled, and allergen information is kept at the bar.
Our drinks bar can sit alongside the taco bar with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you.
DIY taco night versus a caterer
A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.
Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.
Questions from Lower Clapton
Could the taco bar go somewhere in Lower Clapton that the truck can’t reach?
Yes, if the venue allows it. The truck or trailer does not have to reach the room, but we do need to unload close by, so tell us about loading, permits and parking.
Is it possible to have you in Millfields Park?
Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Check with them, and we will provide what they ask for from us.
Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?
Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect, and we’ll keep their options separate.
When should we book?
Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it is soon.
What if a vehicle cannot reach the serving spot?
The taco bar can be served from a table or station away from the truck. We still need somewhere close to unload our vehicle, and the venue has to agree.
Do you have gluten-free options?
We can, using corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we plan gluten-free dishes carefully and give allergen information.
Do you give allergen information?
Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, with allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we can’t promise a dish is allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.
How is the food prepared?
We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

- Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
