Taco bar hire near Lyminster

Taco bar hire in Lyminster, from our food truck or trailer

With a taco bar, everything is laid out in one place: warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings. Each guest takes a plate and fills it their way. We serve a build-your-own taco bar, pickled onions and toppings and fresh salsas, and it’s a good fit for marquee parties and birthday parties.

Somewhere as small as Lyminster, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If the truck cannot get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, though we still need to unload within a short walk. Your quote sets out what’s included: menu, timings and any add-ons.

Lyminster: your questions answered

Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the South Downs National Park?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and catering, so check with yours. Tell us about narrow lanes and soft ground.

Is Lyminster close to London?

Roughly 50 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it.

Do you have vegan options?

Of course. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

Can you cater for guests who avoid dairy?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need dairy-free food, and we will include them in the plan.

What do you need at the venue?

Room for the table and a queue, plus a nearby place to unload. We confirm power and water when you book.

What does taco bar hire cost?

We quote for each event, based on what you actually need. Tell us your date and numbers for a clear quote.

How many guests can you serve?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Do you cover Lyminster?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, and Lyminster is within our area. For a quote, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

What happens on the day

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. Around midsummer it stays light in Lyminster until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it is dark by about 4:00pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Begin with the date and headcount.
  2. We plan fillings and toppings around your guests’ diets.
  3. Nearer the date, we confirm timings and the serving spot.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. We clear our station when service ends.

Before we arrive

  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Tell us what power and water the site has

DIY taco night or a caterer?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Where the truck can go in Lyminster

Everything is served from our truck or trailer, so where we park matters. These are the things we check:

  • Somewhere close by for our vehicle to park and unload
  • A flat spot for the taco-bar station
  • A sheltered spot if we are serving outside

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

Popular choices

  • Vegan fillings
  • Tortilla chips
  • Salsas and guacamole

How we price taco bar hire

Contact us for a quote, and the price is based on:

  • Timings and hours
  • Whether you need disposables
  • The menu you choose
  • How many guests we are serving

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

Details that help

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • What power and water the site has
  • Where the event is

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. Contact us for a quote: just fill in our quote form.

Catering for every guest

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Ensure one filling is vegan
  • Collect dietary needs with your replies
  • Confirm any allergies to us by email
  • Tell us how many children are coming

Our staff stand behind the bar to top up dishes and help guests about fillings and allergens.

A wider range of salsas suits guests who like it mild and those who like it hot.

For planners, venues and organisers

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Perfect for your event in Lyminster

It gets people talking: people chat about salsas and fillings while they build.

We can help if you’re planning any of the following:

  • Back-garden gatherings
  • Staff parties
  • Marquee parties
  • Retirement parties

When the service is at a church such as The Parish Church of St Mary Magdalen, the taco bar would be set up at the reception venue rather than the church.

What your quote should include

  • What the caterer needs from your venue
  • Any travel, parking or access charges
  • When payment is due
  • Whether plates, napkins and cutlery are included
