Taco Bar Hire across West Sussex

Taco bar hire in West Sussex: what to expect

Taco bars suit wedding breakfasts, parties and office lunches alike. Building your own is quick, which keeps the line moving, and nobody waits long. It works well for family get-togethers and milestone birthdays, serving fresh salsas, slow-cooked fillings kept hot and a build-your-own taco bar.

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, get the serving area ready, and serve without fuss.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas and toppings, and guests help themselves.
  5. When service finishes, we clear the table and pack the vehicle.

Near you in Crawley

Around Crawley, we can cater at gardens, homes and venues near Friary Church of St Francis and St Anthony, St Wilfrid's Catholic School and Tilgate Park, among other places. Other local landmarks include The George Hotel (under half a mile north), Three Bridges Junior School (less than half a mile south-east) and St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School (less than half a mile south-east). There’s a railway station in Crawley itself: Crawley station, handy for guests travelling by train. Nearby you will also find Crawley Hospital (0.5 miles north-west) and County Mall (less than half a mile north-east). Not far away are Tilgate Lake.

Planning a taco bar in West Sussex

Across West Sussex’s 11 towns and 293 villages and hamlets, a taco bar suits indoor and outdoor events alike. In towns, plan where we unload; in villages, tell us about lanes and ground. The South Downs National Park and the High Weald National Landscape are within easy reach of places across West Sussex, where some venues have extra rules about vehicles and catering. Around 121 places in West Sussex are close to the coast, so we often plan around the wind at coastal events, and seafront spots need permission and firm ground for the truck or trailer.

Crawley: If you’re celebrating after a service at a church like Friary Church of St Francis and St Anthony, a hall close by could host a staffed taco bar, with the venue’s permission. Parks such as Tilgate Park normally need the owner’s agreement for catering, even without a truck on the grass, so ask before you plan. A December taco bar in Crawley will be in the dark from about 3:55pm, so an indoor spot or a well-lit station works best. At midsummer, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

Everyone builds a plate that suits them, so there are fewer special requests.

Here are some of the events we cater around West Sussex:

  • Milestone birthdays
  • Family get-togethers

  • Engagement parties

Planning for every diet

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Set out seating near the bar
  • Tell us when guests should eat
  • Ensure one filling is vegan
  • Tell us about coeliac guests specifically

Dishes are labelled, with allergen information available at the table.

Book the truck or trailer for evening food after a daytime taco bar.

Planning the serving area

No two venues are the same, so we will ask about yours when you get in touch. In general, we need:

  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • Room for the bar alongside the vehicle, if booked together
  • A clear area in front of the station

How we price taco bar hire

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Timings and hours
  • What’s on the menu
  • What the venue already provides

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we’ll set out what’s included.

What to tell us

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • The date and time of the event
  • Roughly how many adults and children

The quickest way to a quote is to fill in our quote form. Give us the details of your event, and we will suggest a menu to suit.

West Sussex questions

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we’ll keep their options separate.

Do you need electricity?

That depends on the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

What if a vehicle cannot reach the serving spot?

The taco bar can be served from a table or station away from the truck. We still need somewhere close to unload our vehicle, and the venue has to agree.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, using corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

That’s confirmed with each quote. Let us know what the venue supplies.

What do you need at the venue?

The main things are access and a level spot: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a picture of the space and the way in.

Do you stay to run the taco bar?

We run the station ourselves, so your hosts do not need to. We pack it away afterwards.
