Taco bar hire in Moorhouse Bank, served fresh

We bring taco bars to events in and around Moorhouse Bank: marquees, barns, gardens, halls and workplaces. We serve a build-your-own taco bar, pickled onions and toppings and slow-cooked fillings kept hot, and it is a good fit for birthday parties and barn parties.

In a London neighbourhood like Moorhouse Bank, a taco bar is handy when the truck cannot reach the garden or the room. Our staff set up a serving station on a table, and guests build their own tacos. We still have to unload nearby, so let us know about loading, permits and parking. All of Greater London is inside the ULEZ. Timings are planned around your event, so service starts when you want it.

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

A taco bar and a truck serve the same food in different ways. From the truck, we put each order together; at the bar, guests build their own. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

What you get with us

  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both

Step by step

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we will help you choose a spot with room for a queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. Around midsummer it stays light in Moorhouse Bank until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is normally served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Start with your date, venue and guest numbers.
  2. We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
  3. We confirm the table spot and where we’ll unload.
  4. On the day, guests help themselves while we keep the bar stocked.
  5. When everyone has eaten, we pack up.

Preparing for the day

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely

Planning help

Planning the serving area

Everything is served from our truck or trailer, so where we park matters. Here’s what we look for:

  • Somewhere close by for our vehicle to park and unload
  • A sheltered spot if we’re serving outside
  • A clear route from the vehicle to the serving spot

In Moorhouse Bank, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before you book.

What we offer

  • Two to four fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Tortilla chips
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Vegan fillings

Planning a taco bar in Moorhouse Bank

Moorhouse Bank is about 6 miles west of Sevenoaks, in Greater London. Across the TN16 area, we can bring the truck or trailer to you, as long as there is access. Moorhouse Bank is one of 764 places in Greater London we cover. Our nearest city page is Croydon, about 10 miles away.

When the service is at a church such as St Andrew's, the taco bar would be set up at the reception venue rather than the church. If people are travelling in by rail, Hurst Green station is about 2.2 miles away. With the Kent Downs National Landscape about 8 miles away at most, a countryside taco bar is an option from Moorhouse Bank. Rural venues may limit vehicles, so ask where we can park and unload.

Here we cover the TN16 postcode area, so your event can be anywhere in it. Nearby, we also cater events in The Chart (1 mile south-west), Goodley Stock (1 mile south-east), Westerham (1 mile north-east), Pains-Hill (1 mile south-west) and Titsey (2 miles north-west). Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • How long we are needed on site
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • What the venue already provides
  • The number of people

Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Moorhouse Bank questions

What’s the nearest station to Moorhouse Bank for guests?

Guests can use Hurst Green station, about 2.2 miles south-west of Moorhouse Bank.

Can you set up a taco bar where your truck cannot park in Moorhouse Bank?

Yes, if the venue allows it. The truck or trailer doesn’t have to reach the room, but we do need to unload close by, so tell us about loading, permits and parking.

Is the food made fresh?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Can you cater for guests who avoid dairy?

We can. Dairy-free options are part of our menus.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, with allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we can’t promise a dish is allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Can you run a bar?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will check the licensing with you.

Do you come to Moorhouse Bank?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, and Moorhouse Bank is within our area and the rest of Greater London. For a quote, send us your details through our quote form.

Do you need power and water?

It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we will park.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Planners, venues and businesses

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep everyone informed on the day.
