Taco bar hire in North Oxford

Taco bar hire in North Oxford, from our truck or trailer

Our staff set up the taco bar and look after it through service: keeping the fillings hot, warming tortillas and topping up the bowls. Nobody from your side needs to lift a spoon. It works well for anniversary parties and wedding evening food, with pickled onions and toppings, a build-your-own taco bar and slow-cooked fillings kept hot.

Near North Oxford, a hall or club may suit a taco bar if your own space is tight; the station needs a level surface, the venue’s permission and somewhere to unload. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer.

For planners, venues and organisers

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so everyone is served promptly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We’ll provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Before you choose a spot

If a space is not suitable, we’ll tell you. What matters most:

  • Cover overhead if the bar is outdoors
  • Room for the bar alongside the vehicle, if booked together
  • A level area for the taco-bar table

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.

Popular choices

  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Tortilla chips
  • Vegan fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Two to four fillings
  • Pickled onions and toppings

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Step by step

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can spend time with your guests. A December taco bar in North Oxford will be in the dark from about 3:55pm, so an indoor spot or a well-lit station works best. At midsummer, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:25pm.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, how many guests and any diets.
  2. We suggest fillings, salsas and toppings for the bar and send a quote.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. When service finishes, we clear the table and pack the vehicle.

Before we arrive

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

North Oxford: your questions answered

Could you serve in Oxford University Parks?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Ask them first, and we’ll help with the information they need from us.

How far is North Oxford from central London?

About 54 miles from central London, and well within our area.

Do you stay to run the taco bar?

We set up and stay to keep the bar hot and stocked.

Do you clear up afterwards?

Our area is packed away and left tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we’ll talk it through.

How long are you on site?

It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance so everything fits your schedule.

Is the food very hot?

It’s up to you: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately.

What if the weather’s bad?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

How many guests can a taco bar serve?

It depends on the event and the timings. As a guide, our bookings usually fall around 50 to 400 guests, so tell us your numbers.
