Taco bar hire for Ripley events

A build-your-own taco bar in Ripley

Ripley is about 4 miles east of Woking, in Surrey. For taco bar hire in Ripley, we can park up at venues, fields, drives and courtyards. Ripley is one of 395 towns and villages in Surrey where we can bring taco bar hire.

By road, Ripley is on or near the B2215, so bringing the taco bar and our food truck or trailer is straightforward. For guests coming by train, the nearest station is Clandon station, about 2.5 miles south. Ripley is within about 6 miles of the Surrey Hills National Landscape, with barns and country venues that could host a taco bar. Where vehicles can’t reach the room, the station can be set up there with the venue’s agreement, but we still need to unload close by.

Here we cover the GU23 postcode area, and we can cater your event anywhere in it with access for the truck or trailer. Whether your event is on High Street, Dorton Way and Wentworth Close or a nearby road, we can bring taco bar hire there, given access. You will find Ripley on the B2215, so it is easy for us to reach with the truck or trailer. We also serve at events in Ockham (2 miles east), West Horsley (3 miles south-east), East Clandon (3 miles south), East Horsley (3 miles south-east) and Effingham (5 miles south-east). Further out, we also cater in Guildford (5 miles south-west), Woking (4 miles west), Camberley (10 miles west), Epsom (10 miles east), Redhill (15 miles east) and Farnham (14 miles south-west).

Nearby you will also find The Peacocks (3 miles north-west) and Woking Community Hospital (2.8 miles west). Not far away are Papercourt Marshes and Boldermere Lake.

  • Local schools include St John the Baptist Catholic Comprehensive School (2.3 miles west)
  • Pubs nearby include The Anchor Public House (within half a mile east)

Taco bar hire in Ripley, from our truck or trailer

For a bigger spread, burrito bowls, nachos or quesadillas can sit alongside the tacos. Margaritas and aguas frescas from our drinks bar can be added, with licensing checked with you. Popular choices include fresh salsas, pickled onions and toppings and a build-your-own taco bar, which works well for engagement and anniversary parties and birthday parties.

In a small place like Ripley, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If the truck can’t get close, we can set the station up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Ripley: your questions answered

Do you cater in villages like Ripley?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

How far is Ripley from central London?

It is about 22 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Can guests build tacos at a wedding breakfast?

It can serve the wedding meal, the evening or both. We agree the timings with your venue, and guests build their own plates.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

We can, using corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

When do you arrive?

It depends on your event. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you to suit your day.

How soon do we need to book?

As soon as you have a date. Popular dates go first, so it pays to ask early.

Do you give allergen information?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Who looks after the taco bar?

The taco bar is served from a table or station by our staff, so you do not need helpers. When service ends, we clear it away.

What happens on the day

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. Daylight in Ripley runs to about 8:55pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September. Let us know if an outdoor station will run after dark, and we will talk about lighting.

  1. Tell us about your event and your guests.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar menu and a quote.
  3. Access, power and water are agreed beforehand.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

Before we arrive

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Let us know the timings for the day

Fillings cooked ahead and kept hot, perhaps chicken tinga, birria or carnitas.

Warm tortillas

Soft corn and flour tortillas, kept warm. The corn ones suit gluten-free guests.

Events we cater in Ripley

Guests on special diets don’t need a separate meal.

A truck or trailer works for big and small events alike. Common bookings include:

  • Summer garden parties
  • Retirement parties
  • Anniversary parties
  • Team lunches

Close to Ripley are historic houses such as Byfleet Manor (2.6 miles north-east) and Hatchlands Park (3.1 miles south). Historic venues often limit where vehicles can go, so ask whether a taco bar station could be set up inside while our food truck or trailer parks further off.

What to look for in a quote

  • How each diet is kept separate
  • A food hygiene rating you can check
  • What the price includes, item by item
  • The venue requirements

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Organising for someone else?

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will talk you through the process. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • The length of service
  • Serving staff
  • The number of people

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

Details that help

To check availability and price, we need:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • What power and water the site has
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Your date and when you want service to start

The quickest way to a quote is to tell us about it on our contact page. Tell us about your event in Ripley, and we’ll suggest a menu to suit.

Taco bar hire or something else?

A sandwich platter is easy to order but rarely remembered. Warm tortillas and hot fillings give a lunch more to talk about. Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can feel generous.
