How our taco bar hire works in Round Street

The taco bar works for a wedding breakfast, a party or a working lunch. Guests build their plates quickly, so a crowd moves through steadily. It works well for garden parties and wedding day food, serving warm corn and flour tortillas, pickled onions and toppings and fresh salsas.

In a small place like Round Street, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Your questions about taco bar hire in Round Street

Which station should guests use for Round Street?

Sole Street station, about 0.6 miles south of the centre.

Can the taco bar go in a local hall rather than outside?

Yes, if the venue allows outside caterers. Tell us about the parking, the doors and the space for the station.

What do you serve?

Mexican street food: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. A drinks bar is available too.

How soon do we need to book?

The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so it pays to ask early.

Can you cater in a back garden?

That depends on access. A drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission, if the garden itself is out of reach. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

What areas do you cover?

We cover London and the South East, including Kent. See all areas.

How much is a taco bar?

Every taco bar is quoted for individually, depending on guests, menu, venue and timings. Contact us for a quote.

How much space do you need?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a photo of the space and the way in.

Organising for someone else?

Hosting a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we’ll let you know if it is a good fit.

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Round Street? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Tell us about the event and we’ll suggest a menu.

Comparing your options

The difference between a taco bar and truck service is who builds the taco. At the hatch, we make each order; at the bar, guests build their own. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

Why book with us

  • Every guest catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free included
  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

What’s on the menu

Hot fillings

A few fillings give guests plenty of choice. You choose them with us.

Salsas

A row of salsas, mild to hot.

What happens on the day

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. Planning an evening taco bar in Round Street? Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May, 9:20pm at midsummer and 7:00pm in late September. After dusk, lights over the station help guests build their tacos.

  1. Start with the essentials: the date, venue, headcount and diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. Before the day, we confirm the serving spot, unloading, power and water with the venue.
  4. Our staff set up the station, keep the fillings hot and top up the bar through service.
  5. Once guests have eaten, we take down the bar and leave the spot tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
