Taco bar hire for your event in Rowstock

Truck and trailer bookings normally suit around 50 to 400 guests, while smaller parties are quoted case by case. Share your headcount and we will size the taco bar to match. It works well for garden parties and wedding day food, with fresh salsas, guacamole and a build-your-own taco bar.

Near Rowstock, a taco bar next to the truck in a field or garden works well. Let us know about the gate, the ground and the route in, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.

How we price taco bar hire

Contact us for a quote, and the price is based on:

  • The number of people
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • The length of service
  • What’s on the menu

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

What we need to know

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Roughly how many adults and children

Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will come back with a clear quote and a suggested menu.

FAQs for Rowstock

Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the North Wessex Downs National Landscape?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

Which station should guests use for Rowstock?

Guests can use Didcot Parkway station, about 3 miles east of Rowstock.

Can you run a bar?

Yes. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own. For alcohol, we’ll go through the licensing with you and your venue.

What happens if it rains?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

When should we book?

The sooner the better. Popular dates go first, so it pays to ask early.

Do you need electricity?

Tell us what the site has, for example a supply from the venue, and we’ll confirm what we need with your quote.

Can you set up where a truck can’t get in?

The taco bar can be served from a table or station away from the truck. We still need to park our vehicle nearby to unload, and the venue’s agreement.

Is a taco bar suitable for a big group?

It depends on the event and the timings. As a guide, our bookings generally fall around 50 to 400 guests, so tell us your numbers.

Planners, venues and businesses

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

The process

When we arrive, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we’ve agreed, planned around your event. Evenings in Rowstock stay light until about 9:25pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:10pm. Once it gets dark, guests need to see what they’re adding to their tacos.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan the fillings, salsas and toppings with you.
  3. The venue confirms where the bar goes and where we park.
  4. On the day, guests help themselves while we keep the bar stocked.
  5. When everyone has eaten, we pack up.

Before we arrive

  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

Salsas

Salsa lets everyone pick their own heat.

Hot fillings

A few fillings give guests plenty of choice, including a vegan one. You choose them with us.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Include a dietary question on your invitations
  • Flag any guest with coeliac disease
  • Tell us when guests should eat
  • Confirm any allergies to us by email

Staff stay at the taco bar to refill bowls and answer questions about fillings and allergens.

Add burrito bowls for guests who’d rather skip tortillas.

Can I do a taco night myself?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What we need at the venue

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but a few things matter:

  • Details of power and water near the bar
  • A spot next to the truck or trailer when both are booked
  • Cover overhead if the bar is outdoors

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before you book.

What we offer

  • Two to four fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Vegan fillings
  • Tortilla chips
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
