Taco bar hire near St Margarets

Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • The menu you choose
  • How many staff you need
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Timings and hours

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

Details that help

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Diets and allergies you know about

Each quote is tailored to your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.

How our taco bar hire works in St Margarets

Fillings are agreed with you, such as pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, plus a vegan choice such as spiced mushroom or black bean and sweet potato. For wedding breakfasts and company parties, we can serve slow-cooked fillings kept hot, pickled onions and toppings and a build-your-own taco bar for your guests.

In a small place like St Margarets, a taco bar might go in a garden, a barn or a nearby hall. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. Every guest is catered for, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan included, with allergen information for everything we serve.

How the day works

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can spend time with your guests. In St Margarets, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is usually served in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:50pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Get in touch with your date and headcount.
  2. We plan fillings and toppings around your guests’ diets.
  3. Nearer the date, we confirm timings and the serving spot.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. Once service is over, we pack away.

How to prepare

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Planning the serving area

If a space is not suitable, we will tell you, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:

  • Details of power and water near the bar
  • Room for the bar alongside the vehicle, if booked together
  • Space for a line of guests at the bar

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before booking.

On the menu in St Margarets

  • Vegan fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Pickled onions and toppings
  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Tortilla chips
  • Two to four fillings

Comparing your options

A taco bar and a truck serve the same food in different ways. From the truck, we put each order together; at the bar, guests build their own. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

Why us?

  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • A plan agreed before the day
  • Catering across Kent, including St Margarets
  • Every guest catered for, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan included

Catering for every guest

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Decide where the table goes before the day
  • Ask the venue where we can park to unload
  • Flag any guest with coeliac disease
  • Set out seating near the bar

Once guests have eaten, we clear the table and pack up.

Tell us if you need plates and cutlery and we will set out the options in your quote.

Questions from St Margarets

What’s the nearest station to St Margarets for guests?

Farningham Road station, about 1.1 miles south-west of the centre.

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Darenth Country Park?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide what they ask for from us.

Do you need electricity?

It depends on the event and the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we’ll park.

What do you serve?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.

Do you have vegan options?

Of course. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

How does taco bar hire work?

Each guest builds tacos from the fillings, salsas and toppings laid out. We run the bar from set-up to pack-down.
