Taco bar hire in Tapnage, served fresh

You choose the fillings with us, such as pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, plus a vegan choice such as spiced mushroom or black bean and sweet potato. It suits barn parties and christenings and family parties, serving fresh salsas, a build-your-own taco bar and warm corn and flour tortillas.

Near Tapnage, a taco bar next to the truck in a field or garden works well. Let us know about the gate, the ground and the route in, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. How it compares

The difference between a taco bar and truck service is who builds the taco. At the hatch, we make each order; at the taco bar, guests do the building. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Ask us for a quote.

How the day works

Here’s how the day usually runs: we park up and get ready, service opens at the agreed time, and your guests are served fresh for the agreed time. Winter evenings in Tapnage close in by about 4:00pm, so an indoor spot or a well-lit station works best. In late June, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

  1. Start with the essentials: the date, venue, headcount and diets.
  2. We plan the fillings and toppings with you and quote for them.
  3. Together we fix the spot for the taco bar and a nearby place for our vehicle.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. When service finishes, we clear the table and pack the vehicle.

Getting ready for the day

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Let us know the timings for the day

How to compare caterers

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Taco bars for events around Tapnage

Tapnage is about 3 miles north of Fareham, in Hampshire. Whether your event is in the middle of Tapnage or on the outskirts, taco bar hire works the same way: a truck or trailer at your event, options for every diet and a clear price. Tapnage is one of 683 towns and villages in Hampshire where we can bring taco bar hire. You can also see our page for Southampton, about 8 miles away.

With the sea within about 5 miles, a taco bar at a coastal venue is an option. Open toppings and a sea breeze do not mix, so a sheltered or indoor spot is best.

How we price taco bar hire

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • The number of people
  • Travel, parking and access

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

What we need to know

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • The address or venue name
  • Expected numbers
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

Send us the date, your venue or PO17 postcode and guest numbers, along with any dietary needs, and we will reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, tell us about it on our contact page.

Questions from Tapnage

Which station is closest to Tapnage?

Guests can use Swanwick station, about 2.4 miles south-west of Tapnage.

How far is Tapnage from central London?

It is about 64 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Is a taco bar right for a wedding?

It can serve the wedding meal, the evening or both. We agree the timings with your venue.

Who clears up?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

What is a build-your-own taco bar?

We set out warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings on a serving table, and guests build their own tacos. Our staff keep it hot and topped up.

What do you need at the venue?

A level spot for the serving table, room to queue and somewhere close to unload our vehicle. Power and water are confirmed with each booking.

Do you need power and water?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Tell us what’s available at your venue.
