About our taco bar hire in The Stocks

Truck and trailer bookings usually suit around 50 to 400 guests, while smaller parties are quoted case by case. Share your headcount and we will size the taco bar to match. On the menu are a build-your-own taco bar, fresh salsas and guacamole, and it’s a good fit for family get-togethers and working lunches.

Somewhere as small as The Stocks, a garden, barn or hall can host a taco bar. If lanes or soft ground stop the truck getting close, the station can be set up nearer your guests, as long as we can unload within a short walk. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

How it works

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. Afterwards we clear our area. Daylight in The Stocks runs to about 8:45pm in late May and 7:00pm in late September. Let us know if an outdoor station will run after dark, and we’ll talk about lighting.

  1. Share a few details about the event.
  2. You get a suggested taco-bar menu and a quote.
  3. We check power, water and access with your venue.
  4. We set up the station and keep everything hot.
  5. At the end, we take everything away.

Comparing your options

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen, waiting staff and fixed courses. For a taco bar, we need a serving spot, a nearby place to unload and the venue’s permission, and power and water are confirmed with each booking. Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you choose what goes in.

The Stocks: your questions answered

Could you come to a seaside event near The Stocks?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades normally need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

Can the taco bar go in a local hall rather than outside?

Yes, if the venue allows outside caterers. We need a short route from where we park to the room, and space for the station and a queue.

What space does a taco bar need?

A level spot for the serving table, room to queue and somewhere close to unload our vehicle. Power and water are confirmed with each booking.

Are plates and napkins included?

Ask us when you enquire. Tell us what your venue provides, and we’ll set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Do you cover The Stocks?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including The Stocks and the rest of Kent. For a quote, use our quote form.

When do you arrive?

It depends on your event. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you to suit your day.

How does taco bar hire work?

Each guest builds tacos from the fillings, salsas and toppings laid out. We run the bar from set-up to pack-down.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will check the licensing with you.

Dietary needs and planning tips

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Confirm a loading spot close to the bar
  • Ensure guests have somewhere to sit
  • Pick the spot for the taco bar in advance
  • Give us separate numbers for children

If speeches or timings run over, we keep the fillings hot and start when you’re ready.

Burrito bowls sit well on the bar for anyone avoiding tortillas.

Prices and what affects them

Your quote will be clear. The main things that affect it are:

  • The number of people
  • How many staff you need
  • What’s on the menu
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food

There’s no one-size-fits-all price for taco bar hire. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

Getting an accurate quote

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • What power and water the site has
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Where the event is
  • Diets and allergies you know about

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, send a quick message through our quote form.

Planners, venues and businesses

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can check the date.

If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.
