Taco bar hire near Towersey

About our taco bar hire in Towersey

A taco bar puts the whole spread on one table: warm tortillas, hot fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings. Each guest takes a plate and fills it their way. It suits family celebrations and company parties, with fresh salsas, burrito bowls and guacamole.

Near Towersey, a taco bar next to the truck in a field or garden works well. Tell us about gates, ground and the distance from the lane, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. You will know what’s included before booking: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

Towersey questions

Can the taco bar go in a local hall rather than outside?

We can, as long as the venue agrees. The station needs room for a queue, and we need to park and unload close to the door.

Is Towersey close to London?

About 40 miles from central London.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

Ask us when you enquire. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we cannot promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Can you cater for children?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we’ll plan the menu with them in mind.

What about power on site?

Let us know what’s available on site, for instance a supply from the venue, and we will confirm what we need with your quote.

Do you cook on site?

We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

What if the weather’s bad?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, like a marquee or gazebo.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Diets, allergies and planning

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Have tables and seats ready for guests to eat at
  • Choose at least one vegan filling
  • Confirm any allergies to us by email

Indoors or under cover, the bar carries on whatever the weather, so plan somewhere sheltered if you can.

Our drinks bar can sit alongside the taco bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you.

Is taco bar hire right for your event?

Next to a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar caters for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free guests from one table. Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Why book with us

  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar
  • Menus for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests
  • Quoted for your event

Take a look at our prices page or our guide to catering costs.

Planning the serving area

Before the day, we’ll agree where we park and serve. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • A sheltered spot if we’re serving outside
  • The venue’s agreement for the taco bar and our vehicle
  • A clear area in front of the station

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

What we offer

  • Corn and flour tortillas
  • Tortilla chips
  • Two to four fillings
  • Vegan fillings
  • Salsas and guacamole
  • Pickled onions and toppings

How the day works

When we arrive, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. Service starts at the time we have agreed, planned around your event. In Towersey, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, plan good lighting over the station.

  1. Send us your date, where the taco bar will go, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. We suggest fillings, salsas and toppings for the bar and send a quote.
  3. We agree where the table goes and where our vehicle can unload.
  4. On the day our staff lay out the bar and keep it stocked while guests build their tacos.
  5. After the last tacos, we clear the station away.

Before we arrive

  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
