What happens on the day
When we arrive, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. We’re ready to serve at the agreed time, so everything runs to your schedule. In Trash Green, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so an outdoor taco bar in summer is generally served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

Planning help
Trash Green: your questions answered
Do you cater in villages like Trash Green?
Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.
How far is Trash Green from central London?
It’s about 42 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.
Can guests build tacos at a wedding breakfast?
A taco bar works well for a relaxed wedding breakfast. Service is timed around speeches and photos. There’s more in our taco bar guide.
Does the taco bar need the truck on site?
The taco bar can be served from a table or station away from the truck. We still need to park our vehicle nearby to unload, and the venue’s agreement.
Do you come to Trash Green?
Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Trash Green. To check your date, fill in our quote form.
Who looks after the taco bar?
We run the station ourselves, so your hosts don’t need to. When service ends, we clear it away.
Do you have vegan options?
Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.
What if the weather’s bad?
The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, like a marquee or gazebo.
What we need at the venue
We will agree the spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:
- A level area for the taco-bar table
- Room for the bar alongside the vehicle, if booked together
- A clear route from the vehicle to the serving spot
Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
Menu ideas
- Corn and flour tortillas
- Two to four fillings
- Tortilla chips
- Vegan fillings
- Pickled onions and toppings
- Salsas and guacamole
Should I do it myself?
Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Contact us for a quote to compare.
A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.
Planners, venues and businesses
Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep everyone informed on the day.
If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can check the date.
Diets, allergies and planning
Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:
- Ensure one filling is vegan
- Ask the venue where we can park to unload
- Put allergies in writing for us
- Pick the spot for the taco bar in advance
Once guests have eaten, we clear the table and pack up and leave the spot tidy.
Nachos to share can keep guests going before the bar opens.
The menu, item by item
Hot fillings
