Taco bar hire in Troy Town

Why choose taco bar hire in Troy Town?

Compared with a hog roast or carvery, a taco bar caters for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free guests from one table. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

About our taco bar hire in Troy Town

We can serve the taco bar next to the truck or trailer, or as a separate station. If the truck can’t get to the spot, we park close by, unload and carry the bar in, with the venue’s agreement. It works well for summer garden parties and marquee parties, serving a build-your-own taco bar, fresh salsas and guacamole.

Near Troy Town, a taco bar next to the truck in a field or garden works well. Tell us about gates, ground and the distance from the lane, and we confirm power and water arrangements before the day. We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish.

Diets, allergies and planning

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies on the RSVP
  • Have anyone with a severe allergy speak to us first
  • Choose at least one vegan filling
  • Set out seating near the bar

Staff stay at the taco bar to refill bowls and answer questions.

Our truck or trailer can serve later in the day, after the taco bar, quoted with the rest.

What taco bar hire costs

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • The menu you choose
  • The length of service
  • Guest numbers
  • Distance and access to the venue

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

What we need to know

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • The date and rough timings
  • A picture of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • Where the event is

The quickest way to a quote is to tell us about it on our contact page. Give us the details of your event, and we’ll suggest a menu to suit.

How the day works

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, get the serving area ready, and serve without fuss. Around midsummer it stays light in Troy Town until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so a summer taco bar outside normally runs in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so guests will need light to see the fillings and toppings.

  1. Get in touch with your date and headcount.
  2. We agree a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We fix timings with you and the venue.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. We clear our station when service ends.

Getting ready for the day

  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Name one person we can ask on the day

Questions from Troy Town

How far is Troy Town from central London?

It’s about 21 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

What’s the nearest station to Troy Town for guests?

Edenbridge station, about 0.9 miles south-east of the centre.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

How does a taco bar work?

Each guest builds tacos from the fillings, salsas and toppings laid out. Our staff look after the bar throughout.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. For anything outside that, ask us.

Can you keep it mild?

The food can be kept mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect.

Who looks after the taco bar?

We run the station ourselves, so your hosts do not need to. We pack it away afterwards.

Organising for someone else?

Throwing a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Troy Town? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Give us the details and we will suggest a plan.
